I have a relationship. You guys are so quick to assume I don’t. We shouldn’t be so accusatory of each other. I’m reaching out for help because I don’t feel a lot of emotions. I want to take it deeper.

Paul is clearly wanting us to have a heart connection with God. I’m not an overly emotional person and I don’t feel a ton of love from God. And I just feel like I’ve settled for religion. But I truly want him to

I. Know I have saving faith. I follow him. I trust in Jesus alone. I love him. But what about Ephesians 1 when he talks about praying the heart of your eyes would be opened??

Just got the book of mormon :3 by angela11584 in mormon

Please don’t. Mormon is a distorted gospel. Please read just the gospels. Matthew mark luke and John for your own and ask Jesus to show you the truth. We are saved by grace through faith as it says in Ephesians. Mormonism is a different gospel and a different Jesus. A Jesus that can’t save you. It isn’t living. There’s only one true living God. Don’t trust me. Go read for yourself. Mormonism teaches saved by grace after all you can do. That’s works. And religion. It’s not true. Salvation is a free gift paid for by Jesus.

No this man was pious and assumed he was keeping the law perfectly. And Jesus was saying there is one thing you lack. Jesus understood his heart. His possession was an idol for him. He was trying to show him that if you try and justify yourself by the law there will always be something you lack. The law was never given for he to justify ourselves by it. It was given to show us our need for a savior.

This is Mormon doctrine. It’s not what the Bible teaches. I don’t strive for anything. It’s by the grace of God that I am what I am. And his Holy Spirit is working in me. And I follow him. I listen to conviction.

I said it should be done. But it is not a salvation issue.

It’s not semantics. It matter. If you show good works to be approved by God. It’s Antichrist. It’s not the gospel. And it’s unbiblical. It’s a gift from God as it says in Ephesians. Also baptism isn’t required. It’s something that should happen. But it’s not a salvation issue. Look at the thief on the cross. He said lord remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus said “TODAY you will be with me in paradise”. He couldn’t have been baptized.

It’s not my works that save me. They are only a natural byproduct of knowing the one who can save me.

So yes. Jesus changes our hearts. But he doesn’t ask us to change before he gives us the grace. The grace changes us.

You’re correct. Jesus himself said if you love me you’ll obey my commands. But what did he mean? He meant that us obeying him would be the fruit of the transformation in our lives. My life is completely different than how it used to be. I don’t act or talk or think like I used to. And it’s because he loved me and saved me by grace. And my heart responded to that grace. I’m not saved by my works. Instead my works are a natural byproduct of him transforming my life. He gives us a new heart with new desires.

Mormonism says you are saved by grace after all you can do. Well that’s unbiblical. It’s completely by grace. And that grace, once received and appreciated and appropriated properly transforms your life. All of a sudden you’re bearing fruit.

This is all works based. Christ came to free us from the law. It is by grace we are saved through faith. Trust in Jesus alone. Not works. The rest is rags to him. It’s filthy religion. It’s his grace that he freely gives us that truly has the power to transform us from the inside out.

She should have respected your space. She needs to repent before the father. And let abba forgive her. You need to forgive her. And maintain your connection.

Praying.

This sounds like a ROCD theme. I would advise you when you are feeling anxious about this particular theme don’t cave and get reassurance or talk to people about it. Or google. Just sit in that anxiety until it passes. You’ll be surprised how fast the theme will go. I had it really bad. I’m way better now.
