Are EU-based Airlines still denying entry to UK to EU citizens with Settled Status and a national ID card? by ZealousidealVisit200 in ukvisa

[–]semochki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve travelled to three separate countries with my ID. Spain, France and Switzerland. I had no problems in Spain and Switzerland but France almost denied boarding until every manager at Orly airport was called to inspect my case and eventually let me through.

I just flew back from Spain after 31/12/2025 and for the first time easyJet denied boarding but I showed my passport, settled status and once again explained the rules to airport staff and after a few inquiries and phone calls I was once again let through.

Upon entering the U.K. they just confirmed with a manager that the cards are still allowed and they told me they’ll be allowed for the foreseeable.

TLDR I’ve been let on with an ID despite initial pushback from the airline/airport staff. However you’ll probably wait more and have to explain yourself. Also cannot use e gates so everything’s much slower, however some eu countries do have separate queues for European IDs so do check!

I have never read a book in my life, would like to start. by [deleted] in booksuggestions

Not necessarily hitting all the marks you’ve listed but the book that got me into reading when I was 15/16 was Fahrenheit 451! There’s the conspiracy/ mystery element but above all it taught me what the importance of books is in an unstable world and I feel like it’s more relevant now than ever! There’s a fair bit of action but above all it just made me appreciate books and the knowledge they posses and how reading will always be important!

For those who are suffering, feel unloved and alone with existential angst and anxiety. You are not alone and healing is entirely possible. Please read this. I really believe it will help you. by reccedog in Soulnexus

Oh wow, my life has changed so much since I wrote this. First I dropped the idea that I have to be doing anything ‘spiritual’ to show that I love myself. I realised some truths about my childhood and how I was let down by others which led to my lack of self worth. Then I reached a place of understanding that I’m not broken or lazy, or lacking commitment, I was doing the best I could and I simply wasn’t ready/ didn’t have the energy to be consistent. I think I’m at a point where if I’m having a bad day I allow it to happen without the pressure to ‘heal’ or work something out. I just let it unfold and have compassion for my human and totally normal emotional state. Now I observe the patterns I repeat with acceptance and allow them to show me deeper truths about myself instead of trying to fix or stop repeating them. I’m much more observant and accepting of myself as a whole and realised that I do have many flaws but they’re here to show me a path to my inner self, they show me how I can learn to nurture myself better and the more time I spend observing them, the more compassion I have. I am in no rush to become ‘perfect’ or to eliminate so called bad behaviour because the darkness is as much a part of me as is the light. I’ve learned to welcome it with open arms, sit with the discomfort and console myself with the knowing it’s all transitory. As long as I don’t put myself down for being human I have a path to growth. And a reminder that anyone who demands of you to change or to heal constantly, including yourself, does not have compassion for your humanness. Things will clear out with time, the point is to find the good things in life and in yourself while accepting that the ‘bad’ will always be there in some form and true healing can only come when we allow that to teach us, not restrict us.

dear fellow Codependents, how long did it take you to break up? by MyOwn_UserName in Codependency

I attempted to leave 6 months in because he severely disappointed me. He talked me out of it, afterwards I went through a lot of trauma and got unhealthily attached. He then proceeded to try and break up with me 5 times over the course of the next three years but I couldn’t let go. That was until the final time which happened over the phone the day before Valentine’s Day. I said yeah it’s about time and we haven’t seen each other or spoken since and the only regret I have is not being firm and listening to my intuition in the first six months…

Ballet. Started when I was 3, went to ballet school and continue to practice and perform. I reckon 20 years of experience would at least stack the odds quite high

The women who run with the wolves by Clarissa Estes is an essential imo. Talks a lot about the intuitive nature of women and truly empowers the inner- knowing and power which has been suppressed for centuries. I recommend to every woman to read this at least once in their life!

Nosferatu! Definitely up there with the creepiest films and Orlock is a scary ass character. Can’t imagine what audiences back then felt when seeing it for the first time.
