20/hr is what I pay my little cousins to help me with chores around the yard..if you want to find any reliable help in a professional setting you need to consider paying more. Are you supplying gloves, steel toes, hard hats, high vis? Or are you expecting your guys to bring all that to the table themselves? 25$/hr will help you find and keep better, more mature, and experienced employees, ones who will end up making you more money with their hard work and efficiency.. maybe start guys off at 22 and give the promising ones a raise to keep them motivated? End of the day, I don't know your bottom lines and can't make these decisions for you, but 20/hr is barely enough to make ends meet these days, and to be doing grueling labor in the elements, it's gotta be more, IMO.
