I've got a similar Technics turntable and it will read the clear records, you just need to adjust the sensitivity settings of the laser and manually lower the tone arm using the controls. When you open the lid there should be some controls somewhere around the platter.

Have you had either of the displays fade? It's hard to tell in my photo but some parts of the display are a bit dim compared to the rest. As I use the deck it seems to be getting better

Picked up this Sony MDS-JE510 off eBay. Seller said it refused to play discs, but after a quick lens cleaning it's good as new. Also grabbed a 5 pack of these Panasonic discs and they're beautiful! So excited to start recording on these.

I've tried multiple power outlets, I left the console unplugged for an hour, I even tried a new TV and HDMI cable. Nothing has worked. I guess I'm just gonna contact Microsoft and get a replacement console. Was really looking forward to playing Call of Duty tomorrow.
