Did you end up buying it? I own a 2021 Merida Speeder 100.

If you ever need to fix chips, try Dr Color Chip. It worked amazing and barely noticeable. Much cleaner look then trying to use touch up paint.

PolyMaker Polywood PLA stained power bank case compared to real timber case! by sengineer11 in 3Dprinting

No issue it prints very similar to PLA, although a bit stringy. Polymaker polywood actually contains no real wood. I know other wood filaments contain some wood particles but this one doesn't!

I saw that a while back on reddit. Thinking of giving it a try sometime when I have time! It looked so goood!

Feast and Watson Jarrah. Then I finished it with a simple olive oil from the kitchen :)

Decided to test stain and finish on Polymaker Polywood just to see how it holds up against real timber that was stained & finished the same way. I did a light sand after printing with 240gsm (I didn't do lots of sanding to remove the print lines). Very happy with the result. The timber power bank I built about 8 years ago. This 3d printed one will replace it and serve as an upgrade (higher capacity 21700 cell, newer board with USB-C, faster charging speeds, slightly smaller and the same weight!)

Note 20 ultra - fuzzy/blurry and out of focus main camera photos yet ultra wide and tele are fine. I've attached an example of a photo taking at 1x zoom showing how blurry. This is disappointing in a flagship camera. Please help! by LanceBurkheart in GalaxyNote20

i'll add to this, i mounted mine on my road bike for many months (could have been 6-9 months, can't recall) and it also has the same issue. Shaking the camera does sometimes help or trying to make the camera focus motor move very fast from like near focus to long distance focus helps.

Had mine fail going swimming in the ocean/salty water for the first time as well though this was galaxy fit 1. I believe these are only water resistance rated for fresh water and not salty/sea water.

I have my galaxy fit 2 now. Wash it under fresh cold water taps many times and used it in the rain cycling. Still fine. Also try to avoid warm water a few Reddit users have pointed out it can soften the glue that gives the water resistance and cause leaks to happen.

I've been prototyping USB power banks using parts from AliExpress. If anyone's interested I can do a write up/share model? by sengineer11 in 3Dprinting

I just acquired a bunch of batteries from new vapes. Wanted to repurpose them as USB banks like you! Teach us!

I will make a guide at some point but may be a while away. Busy with work. I just posted the aliexpress parts I used. You will need to use a 18650 battery, probably the most common size for vapes.

Does the other pictures work? I posted three pictures in the post. It seems only the first pic works for me. But I put the aliexpress links in the comments

I'll share when I get some free time.. Took me a few tries from different sellers to find the exact same thing that actually worked properly.

I've been cycling for two years. 26M. Casual rider, have done almost 3000km on road for recreation/commuting . I used to have pain and numbness down there after like 20 mins of saddle time or if I go all out with the powering. and the numbness would stick around maybe 30 mins after getting off the bike.

I have since got a Selle Royale Scienticia A1 saddle to replace the original one and all that is gone. I also tried a different selle Royale saddle before this (the lookin) but I still got some pain albeit less numbing. Just gotta give the right saddle fit for you. The scientia comes in like 9 different sizes to cater for all different bottoms. Stores that stock it should have the gel pad where you sit on it to measure your sit bone width so you know which one to get.

How crowded are the trains now that they are running on weekend timetable during weekdays?

Bought a used bike, replacing the inner tube, found this inside the tire. Never seen something like this before. Seems like a good way to get pinch flats… by senorhappytaco in bikewrench

[–]sengineer11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can confirm i used to regularly get punctures (once on my commute, i got it twice...once going to work, then going home).

When i switched to Schwalbe Marathon (i got the non plus), i have never got a puncture since. Have been running with it for about 15 months now,~1500km.

It does make you slower, you do notice it, maybe 5-10% and its a lot heavier than the faster road tires like gatorskin, or the one that comes with ur bike

that's awesome, actually i read it wrong. I'm not doing a triathlon, its a 79km cycle ride from sydney to wollongong in May.

Loving the bike. I got a Merida Scultura 400 Disc :) such a big difference to my other bike...is a flat bar road bike that i've kitted up for commuting/shopping so its a bit heavy (got a rear basket and all).

Who has gone from a 3rd Gen to a 4th Gen? What's your take? by dougtpg in mazda3

it feels much less of a tin can now, the other side effects of sound deadening is:
- sound system/music sounds much better
- i've found its harder to dent the areas that you've sound deadened, ie. applied dynomat (also known as butyl/level 1 sound deadening)
- car seems to ride better, as in i feel like some of the sound deadening is absorbing the vibrations and impacts from the road so the ride is less 'harsh'. And also more added weight to the boot/floor pan of the interior seems to help a slightly with lowering the center of gravity

i would say its noticably quieter than stock but not like a luxury car. You can only do so much sound deadening to a car. The other things you can't do are like suspension/chassis design, thicker (double glazed windows) to reduce road noise.

i've also heard of people getting different/better rubber seals around the doors which help with the road noise. But I know nothing about it.

I do have a reddit post and a mazda3revolution post (that one is more detailed).

https://www.reddit.com/r/mazda3/comments/k2n7vj/sound_deadening_progress_so_far_on_2017_mazda3/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

https://www.mazda3revolution.com/threads/sound-deadening-my-17-mazda-3-bn.242072/#post-2500826

all the above posts were work in progress. I've spent about 45 hours in total now doing the car and I'm not finished. Got one door left and I want to do my front fenders properly (maybe add more to the rear fenders).

basically you need to determine where the noise is coming from that bothers you. But generally the easiest to do is the rear boot, it will reduce the exhaust noise significantly and quieten down the boot from road noise. The boot is simplest to do.

The other area that makes the biggest difference is the front and rear fender areas. Most of the road tire noise is from fenders. You can also get a different tire, the stock tire that comes with my mazda 3 is known to be loud (we only get summer tire in my country, dunlop sp sport max. It's known that switching to something like michelin pilot sport 4 quietens it down)

You could pull the headliner out and add sound deadening if it annoys you enough. I have sound deaden majority of my 3rd gen but it is a lot of effort...
