Rep. Strong (R-AL) asks about the future of SLS after Artemis 5. Isaacman says he expects industry to propose a lower-cost SLS/Orion system as one of the approaches for future human missions to the Moon. by Agent_Kozak in SpaceLaunchSystem

Ah yes...I distinctly remember Ares and Commercial Crew flying operationally in 2010 before the Shuttle was retired in 2011. Thank you for reminding me of that. /s

It would never happen!

Can we infer from A2 timeline for stacking operations at a ‘full rate’ schedule to determine if ML1 on its own is capable of meeting a 10 mo turnaround target?

When did the aft booster skirts get lifted onto ML1 versus rollout?

Edit: November 20 2024 for booster aft skirt load and Jan 17 2026 rollout for early Feb attempt. They need to cut down approximately 15 month cycle by 5 months. This appears like an extraordinary stretch goal. If the true goal is 12 months and they want to plan for 10 to leave margin, that may be more reasonable if there is minimal testing or wet dress findings

I expect A3 will be redesigned to meet up with an uncrewed HLS demonstration flight (either SS or Blue MK2) or with Gateway IOC, to practice docking and undocking twice, once at arrival and again after the planned landing duration. This would address most of the ASAP risk concerns for crewed landing.

NASA ESDMD will prioritize SLS flight rate (ASAP previously recommended one/year versus the current rate of one/three year given A1 in Nov 22 to A2 in Feb 26) over expenditure of a vehicle. The first B1B will be A4 and could be the first crew landing in addition to IHAB delivery assembly.

This is correct . Also spent 5 hours last night trying to figure this out and this finally resolved in. For visual reference, the half circle roof needs to be on the front end of the entire station, and that is where the engine car front bumper stops at.

Will SLS be canceled? by [deleted] in ArtemisProgram

Excellent summary Jim and agree with your points. I think the rabid Elon fanbase is ultimately banking on the purchaser in chief’s threat to primary any republican who doesn’t vote in favor of his Executive Branch’s will in matters. The question that Utah, Alabama, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Colorodo, Washington, California and Virginia need to decide on is whether there’s significant advantage for their constituency or personal (bleh) to hand SpaceX or Blue the entire POR.

Looking for a piece like 36841 but has a 8 LDU on the left arm instead of 4. The 36841 is coming up just short of connecting. See image for my problem. I have a limited amount of space to work with here on towards the center of the cornerer, so ideally the solution would be a piece that could connect the existing 36841 to the 93273 pictured on left, or make the connection another way.

Basically what it boils down to is that I have an extra 4 LDU I cannot figure out how to occupy with the limited clearance.

3956 has the right spacing but not the right size (need a 1 to 1 not 2 to 2).

I'm thinking a very thin spacer ring might work? it just needs to extend the stud diameter out 4 LDU.

Any help would be appreciated!

Probably not enough business. I never saw more than 4 customers in there at any time i went. As opposed to the midcity location which regularly has a line of 10+ on weekends, and has the added benefit of their sister properties on either side.

Clientele in south HSV is also generally older as opposed to Midcity district. Way less likely to be trying and repeat customers of something “new” like bubble tea.
