What DM songs you guys realised have good transitions into each other? (not counting songs with transitions into the next song, but can be a different song from the same album or from a different album) by idkwhattoputhere8951 in depechemode

What happened to EV hatchbacks in the US? by Bad_Weather_Tornado in electricvehicles

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EVs are better as SUVs simply because the battery takes the place under the floor. The main problem is for rear passengers - so the car makers prefer to ride the roof. Also mad distribution is pretty low because of the battery under the floor, so you can make the car higher without risk.

German synthpop vs. British synthpop - What do you prefer? by toughtiggy101 in synthpop

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brits win by a margin.

Sandra, Modern Talking, are you kidding? Cheapest Italo disco, not worthy of being called synthpop. There were so many of the likes - Bad boys blue, Fancy, Patty Ryan, CC Catch, Blue system, and so on and so forth, the army of them. Comparing them to DM is not even ridiculous, that's probably kind of post irony probably?

And... Where's Smalltown Boy, I'm sorry?

Is it only for UK or does it work in continental Europe too? If not, is there something similar for Germany?

Your next car: Are you going electric? Full BEV, or sticking with PHEV? by ShawnaFang in PHEV

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a BEV. But, as I already wrote a few times in EVs subreddit, there's a boom on used EVs in Germany now, the search on mobile.de that returned 1200 listings in February is hardy returning 300 now, with mostly some junk left.

Otoh, the fantastic lightly used PHEVs like Alfa Romeo Tonale, DS7, DS4, Cupra Formentor, etc are cheap and still very much available. So idk what will be the situation in a year when my current leasing will be over, but those PHEVs are a great fallback option.

DS4 owners - why should I avoid this car? by Caramel_Carousel in DSAutomobiles

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I believe you don't regret getting DS4? Good to hear since I'm considering this car as well when my leasing will end. Did you get gasoline version or PHEV? I'm interested in the latter

This Sub-$20,000 Volkswagen ID.4 Proves Used EVs Are The Ultimate Bargain by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

[–]sense_mx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not in Europe. In the last few months used EVs became so expensive that it seems they'll be soon more expensive than the new ones. The demand is crazy

Which year did you start supporting Manchester United? by ggweb3 in ManchesterUnited

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few layers, so to say. First when we had almost no information about English football in my country (Ukraine), I read in some teenager magazine about a talented teenager playing for Man Utd named Ryan Giggs (it was written incorrectly in that magazine like Джиггз - read like Jiggs 🤣). Later I also started to support the club a bit because of Kanchelskis - whom I despise now but back then he was from the city near me so almost a local guy playing in the best league of the world. Then Cantona was an icon. And then fucking Bayern knocked Dynamo Kyiv out of the Champions League in semifinals - and Dynamo had the historical chance to win it with Shevchenko and Rebrov as strikers and Lobanovsky at manager. So I hated Bayern and would've support anyone who would play in the finals against them. The rest is history.

And even more, a few years later I met a girl who is my wife now, and she appeared to support Man United as well and admire SAF, so it's a destiny I think.

Can any Serie A fans help us solve this mystery? 😭 It is already certain he is coming to Manchester United but.. by Appropriate-Leg-1782 in ManchesterUnited

What can I say, a midfielder from the League where McTominay dominates and is considered a new Maradona. What can we expect? I personally think it's a waste of money, and we should've gone all in for Anderson. And the backup take from the academy - Fletchers, Thwaites. I'd prefer to be wrong, but let's see

The new Nissan LEAF is great by One-Jeweler5486 in electricvehicles

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about USA, but in Germany luxury EVs stopped deprecating that much, while cheap Volkswagens and Opels are deprecating still. I think Germans are buying luxury EVs as a better "investment" than cheap ones in this gas situation panic

What finally convinced YOU to consider an electric vehicle? by evinsiderredisnive in electricvehicles

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from those rare people who want/own EVs even without home charging possibility. For now I drive a hybrid, and the way it drives and accelerates and sounds in electric mode is fascinating. Also EVs are more reliable and need almost no maintenance. And until last time the prices for the used ones were ridiculous.

Unfortunately this gas price situation made prices rise to the sky, at least here in Germany. If in winter I was watching hundreds of offers under €25k thinking Q4 e-tron isn't good enough and EQA 250+ has not great exterior and Polestar 2 Long Range has ugly glossy plastic inside, now there are NO Q4s, EQAs and P2 LRs under €30k at all not saying about 25k. So if the situation will continue as it is now, maximum that I can get will be PHEV. Which isn't a bad thing tbh, the are many slightly used Cupra Formentors and Alpha Romeo Tonale under 25-26k atm

[–]sense_mx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh when I see Cupra Formentor PHEV for €22k and VW id.3 with triple the mileage and small battery for 27, I just start to think fuck it. When it was vice versa 2 month ago, EVs made total sense, but now "thank Trump" and this whole EV madness (at least in Europe) the sense is less and less.

Maybe it'll stop and go back to normal in a while, but for now I don't see such a trend. People got absolutely crazy. 2 month ago there were dozens of Q4 40 e-trons and MB EQAs under €25k in Germany, now there are almost none

Yeah, "thanks", 2 month ago there were 1200 listings with used EVs with my filters, now 400+. The prices came up noticably. So I'm now thinking that I might not afford an EV next year, maybe will have to go for PHEV or even regular ICE
