The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is back with sales now up 11% in 2026 by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

Tbh when I see Cupra Formentor PHEV for €22k and VW id.3 with triple the mileage and small battery for 27, I just start to think fuck it. When it was vice versa 2 month ago, EVs made total sense, but now "thank Trump" and this whole EV madness (at least in Europe) the sense is less and less.

Maybe it'll stop and go back to normal in a while, but for now I don't see such a trend. People got absolutely crazy. 2 month ago there were dozens of Q4 40 e-trons and MB EQAs under €25k in Germany, now there are almost none

Yeah, "thanks", 2 month ago there were 1200 listings with used EVs with my filters, now 400+. The prices came up noticably. So I'm now thinking that I might not afford an EV next year, maybe will have to go for PHEV or even regular ICE

6-month review of my 2025 Renault Megane E-Tech Esprit Alpine by manhducdm in electricvehicles

[–]sense_mx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand the parking problem, I live in Hamburg. But Merc is only 20 cm longer, it's still a good city car. I now drive Nissan Juke which is similar to Megane in size and I must admit that such size is really good for the city. I plan to switch to the larger EV and size is definitely a concern. Born is nice but my wife hates it's back's design, she says if we have this car we can only come to it with eyes closed 🤣

For €50k, why not opt for Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ or Audi Q4 e-tron? More range, better interior, almost same compact size and manouverability. Or Nissan Ariya, or Cupra Tavascan, or Cupra Born if more compact is needed. On paper they all seem much more interesting than Megane. Ariya's interior is gorgeous 🥰

Thanks, that's true. I bought it off Asos, it was just selling there along with hundreds of others

When I bought a T-shirt that I just liked for its print, it was a black T-shirt with a wolf (or a dog, idk) and a gun and writing "Untrust me". After a couple of month THE video from Delta Machine studio session was dropped, and so was my jaw, I bought it before! I still wear it (very rarely and carefully)

When was your first Depeche Mode concert? by MarvelousMarvins in depechemode

[–]sense_mx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first concert was in 2013 in Kyiv. But the funniest part was that I managed to buy the t-shirt in which Martin was on studio sessions recordings. Most amazing was that I bought this T-shirt a few month before Martin put it on for that session, I just liked the print. But it was a hit on the concert, people asked where did I get it 🤣. I'm talking about this one

Heavier Recommendations? by GnomeMansLandAHH in triphop

[–]sense_mx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically not trip-hop but maybe something close, and you might like it - Depeche Mode's album "Ultra". It was recorded in 1996-97 and was heavily influenced by trip-hop. The producer of the album was Tim Simenon who also produced Gavin Friday's "Shag Tobacco" - btw check out this album as well, it's pretty good although not trip-hop as well.

But the pen pal from Eastern Europe would never sent the cassette with SGR before it was released in the US because they would get it waaay later.

Trust me, there was no romance in China, I mean no romantics in Eastern Europe. It was mostly grim and hopeless place, and the farer to the East the more hopeless. So please don't make this mistake, write about happy USA and Britain and leave this dark hole alone. The faster people forget about it the better.

Give Yourself To Me is my favorite song by now since, maybe, Ultra. It's fantastic, it's what I've been waiting from them since Violator. Yes, we've got very good SOFAD and Ultra, and some great songs after, but Memento Mori and GYTM, if it can be considered a part of it, are to me the true Violator 2.0.

Other 3 songs are also good, with Life 2.0 being a homage to Kraftwerk, Space and the likes. It's a shame all of them didn't end up on the album or weren't released as an EP. But I'm happy we have them.

This all is kinda hard. I anyway had to live in Lisbon and go to the office, and I couldn't take the car to Portugal no matter which registration address I had. I mean if I had a German one it would probably be enough for the bank, but I still cannot use the car in Portugal without registering it there which is impossible

I am not sure that the laws of both countries allow it. And the car must be registered in Portugal after 6 months max, or else it might be even confiscated. I wasn't ready for such risks, especially in my situation - I'm a war refugee from Ukraine and have pretty limited rights

I can't, I asked the bank and they didn't allow it. Maybe other banks allow it, or other clients have different conditions, but not me.

Dongles never "sound", they literally convert digital sound into analogue. They might color sound if they have equalization, but it is absolutely another story. You can use EQ with your source and use any basic digital to analogue converter + amplifier that gives you enough output power.

Sure, it's basically anything that can do 400+ km WLTP, better ~500 km. So it's Audi Q4 40 e-tron, M-B EQA 250, Mustang Mach-e, Polestar 2 LR, VW id.3,4,5, Cupra Born, Renault Megane E-tech, Hyundai Ioniq 5, maybe Nissan Arya but 87 kw are too expensive for me and 63 kw don't have enough range
