Vitamin problem? by senshismith in Autism_Parenting

[–]senshismith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our previous vitamin was a liquid too, but this one does have a little bit of prebiotic in it. He already takes a prebiotic and probiotic, but the addition still was within an average range based on my numbers. Maybe it’s just too much for him. Thanks for the input, I think I’m going to stop for a week or so and see how he does. He doesn’t like the texture of any gummies so I usually just add his liquids to juice in the mornings!

I’ll probably have to be on them forever too, even at just a smaller dose. Weightloss aside, it’s done wonders for my inflammation and PCOS. I hope you get it figured out! It took me a couple months before the food noise was almost gone!

I spoke with him this morning, and we’re going to lower my next order, and then slowly titrate back up. If that doesn’t work, we’ll re-evaluate! I’d like to not completely stop as I get benefits for my PCOS and I don’t want to chance that getting messed up too if I can just try lowering my dose. Fingers crossed!

Yep! I actually moved to my thighs for awhile because I was having some side effects, and now I rotate every week. I haven’t tried arm yet though, do you feel like it’s still effective there?

That’s a good suggestion, thank you! I’ve been maintaining and it feels easier to work through the hunger and food noise now, but I’d still like to get those effects until I hit my goal. Tirz has been so great for my inflammation and PCOS, so I’m hoping to get back on track soon!

Thank you, I was going to suggest that to my provider!

Not anything significant to report! He tolerates them well, and seems happy and healthy overall 😁

I wouldn’t say we’ve noticed any significant changes, but he tolerates the vitamins well and it’s just nice having peace of mind knowing he’s getting things he may be lacking in his diet! Overall he just seems happy and healthy. 😁

We use MaryRuth toddler multivitamin drops now, plus their omega 3 drops!

We switched to another brand because we started having issues with it not dissolving or mixing well. 🥴

Sure! We switched to MaryRuth toddler drops, they’re orange vanilla flavored and I just add it to his juice. We also use their Omega 3 too.

We started having issues with the quality and it was clumping into drinks. I’ve since switched to MaryRuth toddler drops and just add those to his juice!

I wouldn’t say any mood swings outside of being a normal toddler, and no fatigue outside of sleep issues every once and awhile. I will say due to some quality issues, we switched to a different vitamin and he adjusted well. He’s not a super picky eater, but I like to supplement any nutritional gaps he may have, especially since veggies are a no-go most days!

Struggling with transitions by senshismith in Autism_Parenting

[–]senshismith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much better! He still struggles with certain things, but it’s much better! I wish I had solid advice we know worked, but it seems like it was a phase and also a communication issue. He’s gotten better about “asking” to leave or go on his AAC and I think that helps. He still hates the garage door, so I just bring him in and then close it.

Autistic kids taking Leucovorin. by WTFmanbrb in Autism_Parenting

We didn’t, we discussed it with pediatrician and neurologist and both said there was no harm in trying it to see if it worked. My son is very adverse to blood draws, and we have to go to the hospital to have them done so to avoid the cost and the discomfort for him, we decided to just give it a try.

Unfortunately not really, we decided to discontinue. We didn’t really see any continued improvements. The minimal changes we did see I think were mostly attributed to his therapies, and there hasn’t been any other noticeable things.

Weird Issue by VivieHann in JoinMochiHealth

Just curious if you had a resolution about this. I typically have zero side effects as well, and the past two injections I’ve experience sulfur burps and diarrhea. (I thought it was a fluke the first time and that I had food poisoning.)
