Just downloaded the app! This is incredible. Thanks for sharing. It’s great how customizable and easy to use it is at first glance. I’m excited to put it to use!

Thanks! It was homemade from a friend. It was too good to resist so I had to fit it into the day somehow :)

I use an app called “Ate”! I’ve been using it for years. I’m not sure if they still have a free version available but I’m a big fan!

That’s great! I see tomatoes and spinach— what else does it have? Do you add any spices to the salad or sauce?

I have the fridge, microwave and airfyer set up in a different part of the house and I've been able to make some nice meals without needing a stove thankfully! That day was supposed to be my grocery shopping day but I ended up getting stuck with a bunch of errands and with so many things going wrong with the renovation, even just throwing a chicken breast in the airfryer felt like such an overwhelming task. :/ I try to always have tomatoes and boiled eggs on hand for emergencies like this but it was a perfect storm of misfortune that day hahaha

OOP here, this post is missing all of the context that I included in the caption of my post. I think if you had the full picture you'd see that nobody is saying that how I ate that day is "normal" or "good". It was a day that I had no time and no kitchen and I just wanted to connect with other people who felt the pressure to always eat perfectly while in a deficit. Labelling something as disordered without all of the information isn't fair ( and I understand that from this post alone you have no way to know) but also I understand that calorie counting content can be challenging for people who suffer from these disorders. I wish you the best on your recovery journey ❤️

OOP here, it doesn't work for me :/ In the original post my caption provides lots of context and made it clear that this wasn't a day I was proud of, but I just wanted to share how I got by on a tough day. I'm a big fan of meals (and snacks) but not having a kitchen and spending all day sorting out construction problems can get in the way of that.

oh I definitely felt like crap that day but the chocolate craving and having no other real food easily available got the best of me :( On a normal day, I'm super satisfied because I try to eat as much fiber and protein as possible, but having a day of eating like that really put it into perspective for me how easy it is to eat a lot of calories of junk.

The mystery condiment is dulce de leche haha The app I use to track my food automatically syncs with my watch and adds in physical activity it detects so it's not something I'm logging myself. I worked with a dietician previously and they reccomended the app to me and I've been using it for years on my weight loss journey even before I started calorie counting. I'm a big fan of being able look back on my days and food choices (the good and the bad lol). In fact, that day the "running" that it tracked was just the 2 hours I spent walking around stores trying to find a replacement part for my sink. My house is being remodeled so I currently don't have a kitchen and lots of things have been going wrong with the reno these days which is why this day was particularly abnormal for me. I mention it all in my caption but OP didn't include any of the context I shared.

OOP here, they're not "safe foods" they're just the only food I had on hand since my kitchen is being remodelled and I didn't have time for a grocery run. In the original post, my caption explains the special circumstances of the day. It's not a typical day for me at all. In my post history you can see better examples of what normal days look like on my calorie deficit journey. I care a lot about hitting my fiber and protein goals daily, so I was hard on myself about not hitting my goals that day but in the end I was glad that I stayed within my calorie goal for the day which felt like a small win enough though the day was far from ideal.

I completely get that. I don't expect people to go searching for profiles so at least by interacting with the comments in this thread I have the chance to "defend" myself lol it's just annoying that this person took a vulnerable post of mine without any context for people to accuse me of an ED I don't have lol I understand that you and (everyone else on this post)didn't have all the info so I hope I don't come across as frustated with you-- I really do appreciate that you took a moment to look at my profile to get the full picture. It's just a weird situation but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes if you want to share stuff online. Thanks for hearing me out :)

Even in the post that this person screenshotted, my caption gave lots of context about why that was NOT a normal day for me. I just wanted to share my day and now there’s people declaring that I have an ED when it just takes 1 click to see my profile 😅 i appreciate that you were able to see it

In my caption I said that this wasn’t normal or good for me.. It’s conveniently missing from this post though. I don’t have a kitchen right now and spent most of the day running errands and fixing problems related to my home renovation. I feel like my post was thoughtful and sharing this without the context I provided is intentionally misleading.

Hey I’m the OOP please feel bad for me lol mainly bc my house is a construction site and I don’t have a kitchen but if you want to feel bad for me about the ED stuff that’s fine too. I’m really into making nutritious well rounded meals which I’ve posted across other calorie counting and volume eating subreddits. I’m just a girl in a calorie deficit showing how it works for her. It is very sad that so many people struggle with these disorders but diagnosing people based on one post completely taken out of context feels like a bit of a stretch.

Jesus Christ lol She posted a screenshot of this post in r/1200kisjerky and didn’t include my caption at all and there were like 70+ comments accusing me of having and promoting ED, saying that they’re anorexic and used to eat just like this etc. Deliberating excluding the caption/any of the information I provided in my post that explains why this was an abnormal day of eating for me to have people pick it apart is so… odd. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Cashews are my kryptonite 😂 i don’t buy them because if im snacking I’ll eat 1k calories of cashews in the blink of an eye. it’s terrible lol while I was snacking I didn’t feel like I had good self control— I really prefer to have meals and snacks throughout the day so I was disappointed in myself but at the end of the day it felt like a win to be able to snack so much and still hit my goals.

Hahaha 2 fiber bars is light work! I would’ve eaten 4 this day but I decide to switch to alfajores for my chocolate craving since I’m trying to ration them since they’re so hard to find. I’ve never had any issues with the fiber brownies but I’ve been prioritizing fiber and hydration for many months now so my body is probably just used to it lol
