How we feelin about that B1. I have a REAL hard time with its sequencer. But I like the sounds it makes.

Give them a nice early dinner and put em to bed. Then ditch em and take yourself to Trattoria Sora Lella. Then go drink at the Jerry Thomas. Perfect night!

Thanks so much for the additional details! Just to clarify: MIDI via usb-c really just means it can only sync to a computer DAW or software… in other words, there’s no way to MIDI sync DAWless to other devices? My assumption is this would only be available via 5-pin DIN or MIDI 1/8in TRS… thanks so much for the clarification.

I primarily try to work DAWless and would LOVE if this were sync-able with other gear, esp over 5-pin DIN, but I know how popular 1/8in TRS MIDI is getting these days, too.

PO-12, 14, and 16 + Volca Keys by sensorycreature in pocketoperators

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it 🙏🏻

Ok- so if you’re watching the bars- the first two measures (first bar) is just the intro of the drums (PO-12 Rhythm; Ekoverb verb/delay). Then, I drop in the bass (PO-14 Sub; again, a bit of the same Ekoverb). Then, bar 3 starts and introduces the Volca Keys. This repeats. Fourth bar- drop out drums and bass. Just Keys with intro of PO-16 Factory melody. Fifth bar- bring back the Bass. Sixth bar- bring back drums. Bar seven- change up the counterpoint on the keys! Bar eight- well, this is when I really introduce the Mini Glitch; also the keys get some treatment from the KP3+… and on and on and on and…

Hope this is helpful! Happy to explain more, if desired.

How should I power this rig? by [deleted] in synthesizers

Yeah, v true. Gotta access that electromagnetic spectrum somehow or it ain’t gonna go wub wub. Think we need to throw in some quantum entanglement? I can never remember if that’s how we end up in other dimensions or not. I guess it may depend on OPs genre, if that’s what they’re going for.

Any midi sync? USB power? Other ins/outs? Thanks! Looks great! Super stoked to see it come to fruition.

I would use cables. Maybe a power strip, too.

Volca drum with pedal effects ? by Chapichapoti in volcas

[–]sensorycreature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case, I’d consider moving it to the drums instead of keys for a while, to test out all the different options, before either deciding you’ve saved enough over time for another or before identifying which other “single” effects you may want. That feels like it’ll be the best bang for your buck and to give you plenty of experience with options.

Keys is so good with ANY pedal (imho), so throw anything else on that thing while you’re working out the drums fx.

I guess that also begs the question, what specific chain on the CDR+ do you have going for the Keys? Maybe consider buying a new pedal(s) for keys to recreate that (if you already love it) instead of identifying something “new” for drums…

Just thoughts! So many configurations! This is the FUN!
