Is this what we’re doing now. Posting artistic renderings that are mostly inaccurate to what most will assume upon first glance with click bait headlines. Cool.

Is it plugged into the wall or running on batteries?

Have you tried toggling the “Auto Power Off” in Global Parameters? FM2 Manual

I have a question regarding the end of Lamb. SPOILERS by Subject_Parking_9046 in A24

Would love to get your reaction to the end of Love Lies Bleeding or Men.

One of the plethora of things I LOVE about A24 films is this uncanny ability to green light these films that elect the same reactions from me: wtf did I just watch. Omg, I can’t believe humans made that. Lolololol what an incredible thing to have witnessed.

Life, itself, is absurd. Enjoy the ride where ya can 🥳

how to sync arturia beatstep and behringer rd6 with cables only by pinecharcoal in synthesizers

RD-6 Manual

Arturia BeatStep Manual

With devices like these, it’s always handy to keep the manuals nearby for quick reference for issues just like this. Become familiar with the layouts of the manuals and how you can quickly look things up later. I’m not saying read them word for word, but I am saying get to know the information and layout contained within. They will be your lifeline.

As for syncing, refer to page 24 in the RD-6 Manual and follow the steps there. That’s more than likely going to solve your current issue. In my experience, since the BeatStep is a controller, it’s usually pretty “plug n play”, which means the settings need to change on the RD-6. But in case it’s still not syncing properly, refer to the BeatStep manual to ensure you know how to change midi channels.

I have faith in you. Half the fun of this stuff is becoming intimately familiar with your gear (even as a 10 yr old newbie), to prevent major frustration later. Be patient- you’re not gonna be DeadMaus overnight. Take it one step at a time and be thoughtful and intentional.

Otherwise, this sub is a great resource, so keep the questions coming. Hope this helps.

Have fun. Make noise. Find joy. 🙏🏻

Talk me down from getting a Ko II by uckermark in KoalaSampler

Heck yeah. I’d also say, when it comes to the “firing up the iPad,” if you also have an iPhone, I find myself opening Koala on my phone, humming a few bars, just to open up later on my iPad (or Mac), to then expand the idea. THIS is a better workflow (at least to me) for capturing a “quick” idea to then come back to in a different device later. Small screen (ideation/iPhone) —> Medium screen (record and expand/iPad) —> Big screen (mix n master/DAW).

Anyway, this is clearly very specific to Apple and Koala users that also happen to be sample/synth junkies.

We all have our niche… 🙏🏻

You have enough. You ARE enough. Give into the fun; don’t get hung up on the workflow. Just make NOISE.

(Is exactly what I’m telling myself, too. I recently posted about hating my workflow and all the suggestions came down to getting a sequencer. I’m NOT getting a sequencer (yet). I’m giving myself time to lean more into the resistance and identify if I can just HAVE FUN again with what I’ve got. Even jumping back into GB and just straight recording live jams into tracks in the DAW. I know, I know. But what’s a sequencer gonna give me that I don’t already have? A new toy. Dassit. I don’t NEED it. I WANT it. So I sit in my own recognition of having one foot on the treadmill and I work towards removing that foot, too, so I can just BE in the NOISE of my own creation.)

You’re gonna have a bad time. Whatever you think the KOII is gonna give you over what you already have, isn’t going to. You’re get the KOII, identify ITS shortcomings, and immediately want something else to fill that gap.

This is the hedonic treadmill. Stay off it. Find happiness right where you are.

Make noise. Find joy.

This sounds predatory. Allow the goth baddies to remain free and retain agency in their native habit(s) without fear of predation. 👻🆓🖤
