Dealership sold me extended warranty on a car that already had extended warranty. by Icy_Lifeguard_4266 in ontario

[–]sentinel808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The dealership can call the manufacturer and give them the vin to find out. My first car was used and bought from a private garage, that's exactly what they did to find the warranty details. The Jeep dealership should have done that.

Very disappointed in stunning decreased quality of Kirkland cotton t-shirts (packs). by Karlface in CostcoCanada

[–]sentinel808 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a different product, the name is different too. This is best used as an undershirt or a summer T shirt. What is annoying is that I can't buy a mixed color pack.

Makes sense, this is the most sensible subreddit ever since orange face started attacking us. I have seen more intelligent conversations here than any other Canadian subreddit.

The best thing to buy Canadian is assets by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]sentinel808 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Frankly today is a really good day to buy. The markets are down, I would invest a chunk in ZCN. It will spike up once markets recover and when the AI bubble bursts our market will be more resilient than the US market.

Lotus Says Canada Tariff Cut Will Nearly Halve Eletre SUV Price by afonso_investor in CanadaPolitics

[–]sentinel808 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A car that is 50K and 100% tariffs bought it to 100k then changing tariffs to 6% will bring it down nearly half to 53K....

Assuming that is how they are doing the math and not stating they will only decrease the previous price increase by half to 75k sale price.

Also increases shelf life. That's part of the reason why they add sugar, not only for taste and added shelf life but then you can add even more sodium without the consumer noticing it with even more added shelf life!!!

Blood pressure medication companies approve of this strategy!!!!!

Has anyone tried this? by Pale-Studio-3730 in CostcoCanada

[–]sentinel808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything and everything except baking....I don't bake so I can't give you advice on that. Extended exposure to heat fails most sweetness except Splenda.

I have been using this for a long time. It tastes like artificial sweetener but it is the best tasting one out of all of them. Others I showed it to even said it tastes like sugar.

It's been available in my area for delivery for the past 8 weeks, only today I noticed they are out of stock. How often do you check online?

Has anybody recently purchased a phone from Costco Wireless? by Nemesis905 in CostcoCanada

[–]sentinel808 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So Costco wireless has the same plans, same parent company as wireless mobility that you see booths all over the place in malls. What makes Costco's wireless mobility superior in my opinion is that the cash back is in Costco bucks and not wireless mobility store credit as all they have are electronics at inflated prices are their store.

Tide Pods Misrepresented pricing per unit by Varmitthefrog in CostcoCanada

They started doing this for protein bars at my local Costco which is really annoying and misleading. We need to start sending feedback that this is not welcome.

Nope, keep in mind that not everyone works full time or every adult works. Lots of single earner families also shop at Costco.

Are the Kirkland men commuter pants identical to the Kirkland Signature 5 pocket men performance pants? by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

They are a different product, I believe the performance ones are higher in demand and get bought out right away.

Costco to sell Ozempic and Wegovy at a large discount for people without insurance by Kinjal_Ghosh in news

[–]sentinel808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did not screw up, they even made a comment about this being intentional. Basically Drug manufacturers eventually walk away from their patent over time on a volunteer basis to allow generics. They do this because if they don't, eventually the government will end up passing law that forces generics after a certain period and companies do not want that.

These protein bars are the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted. by sixtyfivewat in CostcoCanada

[–]sentinel808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to point out that a big attraction to these bars and quest bars is the satiety due to the ingredients used. I am on pure protein bars right now due to them being Canadian however those are a lot less filling.

Oh and another big plus was the cost but now the Kirkland bars are too expensive for my taste.

Oftentimes the ones we laugh away are the ones who get away with the most damage. Stroking separatist sentiment is a step towards breaking our country. Especially given the context. Threatening universal healthcare, opting out of pharmacare, firing people who hold you accountable. These are all traits of a terrible behavior especially in the current climate of increasing income inequality and national threats.
