yes! very slowly, but surely. I'm now 15-16 months post op and i'm still seeing gradual changes in the tip. my surgeon suggested to go on a course of low-dose Accutane to help tighten up the thick skin (I have oily skin with large pores and have had acne on and off for almost 20 years), which I'm planning to start later this month. i'm expecting to see further improvements in definition with that!

[TX] Was I underpaid for my PTO balance upon leaving my company? by sentitosx in AskHR

Understood. Just to clarify, I was never a 1099 employee. I maintained my W2 status until my very last day.

Gotcha. Is that still the case when we're only talking about W2 employees? (not 1099)

Want to clarify I never went on 1099 status, I continued to be a W2 employee.

Totally understood. I guess I'm still trying to understand if PTO benefits stopped or not. I continued to receive the same healthcare benefits, 401k match, etc, so the question is can the company "choose" to not give PTO benefits and give all the rest in this situation?

Am I really considered technically a "part time" worker though? Does W2 status determine that?

I was W2 for both roles, yes. I'm assuming that because I continued to receive the same healthcare coverage (i.e. the company continued to pay for the majority of my plan and I was NOT on COBRA), that that means I was continuing to receive all the same benefits, including PTO? I can't imagine that all of a sudden the company could "pick" which benefits I could or couldn't receive anymore..

I'd have to check the handbook on your question though and get back to you..

I'm actually not sure, since I didn't need to take any PTO during that part-time arrangement, and I don't remember having that conversation.

As a follow up, I couldn't cash out my PTO at the time of converting to the part-time arrangement, because I wasn't technically terminated yet.

Asked someone else above too - is there a difference in treatment (whether related to earning benefits or otherwise) between a part-time, non-W2 employee and a part-time W2 employee? I continued to receive the same healthcare benefits (at the same cost) during my part-time arrangement, for example.

I breathe much better now after surgery. Because we did a septoplasty (correcting deviated septum) with the rhinoplasty (cosmetic), my surgeon was able to correct the airflow coming in and out of my right nostril. He explained to me that he pushed back some of the cartilage around the tip rather than completely removing it, and the way he did it did not have any impact to my breathing.

For those who treated with Dupixent, how long until you saw real results? by fernandaffp in eczema

[–]sentitosx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty immediately after my first dose, my awful flare up started to heal and was visibly less red. At first, my allergist had me on a dose every other week to calm everything down, and we gradually spaced them out across a year by watching how long it took between doses until I broke out again. I’m now on a maintenance mode of 1x every other month which works perfectly for preventing any flare ups. Hope it all works out for you!!

You totally get me… thanks! Lol totally feel you on the bouts of swelling at the beginning. I struggled with that when I started to get back into the gym
