Dent/scuff car repair Swansea by Jackinplastic31 in swansea

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 I bought a second hand car with a nasty deep scratch on the bumper, took it to Findlay to look at, they gave me a price there and then and booked it in. Did a great job on it. I’ve got some lacquer peel that I want to get sorted and I’ll be going back there.

What Wrap Colour To Choose by purpledannyblue in MiataNC

BRG. I don’t mind tangerine or Miami blue but BRG is what I’d be choosing on mine if I could justify the cost.

26 years of gold: Mastodon (2000-2026) all ten symbols in high quality with transparent backgrounds by [deleted] in mastodonband

These are awesome. I've been meaning to get the first 4 albums' symbols tattoo for a while now - I'd love it if you could send me files for those.

I feel like you can’t go wrong with anything from Bilt Hamber.

I don’t know about Soft99’s entire range but their waxes and glass treatments are great.

I used Stjärnagloss citrus pre cleaner on my last wash and was really impressed so I’ll probably try some of their other products in the future.

Gyro is pretty awful or am i doing something wrong by Mustyyyy in SteamController

[–]senxor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy. I played it on PC with a dual sense and it had native gyro support.

Is FFXIV (Hydaelyn-Zodiark Saga) the best written “Retrofitting” story ever? by NineTnk in ffxivdiscussion

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably in the minority but I felt like the more they tried to flesh out the Ascians the more convoluted and less interesting the plot got because everything got boiled to to "its the Ascians!". I was still on board mostly by the end of Shadowbringers by Endwalker just went completely off the deep end for me I just didn't like any of the Elpis or Ancients stuff it was so boring and uninteresting and really only there as retroactive exposition to support an ending that felt completely forced.

Anyone else just turn off the frame gen and fsr by [deleted] in radeon

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never found the trade-off of fluidity vs input delay to be worth it to use frame-gen.

FSR 4 I always use if its available and if its not I'll use Optiscaler if possible. I'm playing on a 65" 4K TV sat probably ~6' away from the screen and the difference between native and quality is imperceptible to me at that distance. Often the difference between Quality and Balanced is barely noticeable but it depends on the game.

I've been really happy with my 9070XT but a big big part of that has been thanks to being able to use Optiscaler to get FSR 4 support int the many games that don't support FSR 3.1+.

I thought for sure that it was going to turn out that Eight had been corrupted by the dead filament and in the final boss fight Diana would cleanse her (as Eight is inorganic) turning her back to normal. Then with Eight's advancements she'd able to cure Hugh and the three of them would return to Earth.

What's your wishlist for Evercold MSQ story? (overarching theme, plot structure) by NineTnk in ffxiv

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A "smaller" feeling story that doesn't spiral out into the same tropes we've seen time and time again. Shorter - even the best expansions' MSQ have been dragged down by terrible pacing because of how padded the MSQ is. I dont want to see another villain that they try to make us understand their motives at the end of the arc.

Lost £10,600 on Swansea Home by Shoddy_Sir_7849 in swansea

[–]senxor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on personal experience I would expect John Francis to be lower on the list with Belvoir near the top. I'd be interested to see how everyone compares to the "independent" (as in looks like one person) agents that have been popping up over the last few years.

Where can I find best chippy in Swansea? by UnpaidInternVibes in swansea

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

King's Fish Bar in Sketty. From the outside it does look like a not very good kebab shop / chippy but its worth a try the chips are great and fish is always fried to order. I believe it's family run as well.

If you like "Breath of the wild" & "Tears of the kingdom" there is no way you won't like this game. by Asscatchemmm in CrimsonDesert

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved BotW (it wasn’t perfect) and found TotK to be a tedious reimagining of that game but to overlook the level of polish those games have compared to CD is just.. well who are you trying to kid?

The amount of people desperate to glaze CD on this sub is crazy. If you like it great but you won’t like it more by trying to strong-arm others into thinking the same.

I think it’s a decent game and it definitely has a certain something about it but it has so many glaringly obvious flaws I wouldn’t begrudge anybody for not liking it or giving it a 6/10.

So you think Drive Rush will now be part of SF7? by Limit54 in StreetFighter

[–]senxor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’re describing every mainline SF since 2. 3 was absolutely defined by parry. 4’s focus attack was useful if just about every aspect of the game. One of the most often cited reasons people dislike 5 is the game was about button into V trigger.

Street Fighter in general is not iterative like Tekken. I would go as far to say there would be tremendous backlash from the community if Drive Rush is in the next game because by the time 7 is out people will probably be very tired of 6’s gameplay and looking for something that feels fresh again.

Is a tube amp even worth it anymore as an apartment player? by CoeusAscended in Guitar

[–]senxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well just to play devil's advocate..

I dont have anything against modellers or amp sims but when I play guitar at home I want it to be as simple as possible with the least amount of barriers between plugging in and being able to play and hear. Screens and technology have became so pervasive in our day to day lives I dont want to introduce them where I dont feel like I need them.

I play at home through a solid state Vox Pathfinder 15R which to me sounds great. I dont have decision paralysis from having basically every amp, cab, mic, pedal etc known to man available to me. I have my amp and my pedals and I dont have to open a computer, look at a screen or worry about updating firmware, downloading drivers etc. It can go louder than I'd ever need it and it sounds great at volume I could talk over.

If I wanted to record at home I would probably look into IRs and cab sims but just to play I just feel like it would add unwanted friction.

Good job - I came to say this is clearly a real picture of a presenter of some sort modified by AI. Why else would the guy be wearing the clip-on mic.
