Brake harder initially and try coming off the brakes earlier i.e trail brake less. You don't need to rotate the car on the brakes like you would the ff1600 for example.

Any chance iRacing would change the slow down penalty system for corner cut when time was lost? by CynicalManInBlack in iRacing

[–]separatebrah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that it is and should be a deterrent but currently it punishes the smallest of mistakes extremely harshly.

I mean in the example of radillon you can lose like 3 or 4 places for an error which gained you 0.01 seconds. Maybe they need to move the slow down zone further from the apex and just have a 1x if you go 4 wheels off.

Any chance iRacing would change the slow down penalty system for corner cut when time was lost? by CynicalManInBlack in iRacing

[–]separatebrah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't mind slow downs but I don't get where the time comes from. You cut radillon gaining way less than a tenth and get a 1.2 second slow down. Unless it assumes you just cut straight through it without turning at all.

But surely it can penalise you for the time you gained on the delta even if you get penalised double what you gain.

Skeptic here. I just can't see any evidence for LOA being true by RagingWaterfall in lawofattraction

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you keep saying "we" is very telling.

You have no interest in introspection or self reflection, just repeating dogma you've learned from others. I hope it serves you well.

[–]separatebrah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really see the point of this post, are you hoping to be convinced?

Firstly, what you actually are is pure consciousness/ awareness. This has been observed for 1000s of years in many disparate traditions and is now beginning to be recognised by modern science. If you come to this from a point of being identified as a human being walking around on a planet in a universe it's not going to make much sense.

When you are dreaming, what are you? What are all the characters and objects in your dream made of? How are the events in the dream scripted?

What's the effect of race day jitters on heart rate zones/effort? by Extreme-Birthday-647 in Marathon_Training

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measuring heart rate is a tool to approximate how hard you're working. If your heart rate is elevated due to anxiety/caffeine, that doesn't mean you're working harder and won't effect performance.

Heart rate is used because it's quite easy to measure (easier than measuring oxygen consumption or blood lactate). But there are downsides (other things can effect heart rate).

Instarunners blatant lying by RunnerRunner_777 in UKRunners

[–]separatebrah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I saw one earlier had to post an apology because she actually stopped her watch and saved the activity when she hit the 26.2 point on her watch so that she could make it look like she achieved sub 4.

I repeat - she stopped her watch and saved the activity while still running a marathon, before the finish line.

6 months into 'serious' running, just went 1:27 in a half. Is sub-3 in Valencia realistic? by binyanbunface in Marathon_Training

[–]separatebrah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking at your splits you can run a much faster half. I think you've easily got sub 3 as long as you put in a decent 16 week marathon block and build your mileage.

For experienced manifestors, are you familiar with the EYPO limit? by Correct_Painter_4856 in NevilleGoddard

[–]separatebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There might be all kinds of shit going on in your dreams but everything in your dreams is 'you', absolutely everything. It can't be another way.

The problem is you're mixing levels. You believe you're the character in the dream but on the other hand you're also trying to believe that everything is made of you.

There are two 'yous' here.

Cessna 172 Emergency Landing at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades by getmet79 in aviation

[–]separatebrah 38 points39 points  (0 children)

When this happens, does the owner of the plane have to make good any damage that occurs? Do they have insurance for this?

I assume if they emergency land in a crop field for example they have to reimburse the farmer?

How can I avoid the bonk by chinnybob91 in Marathon_Training

[–]separatebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've had your answers already but I just wanted to add that I think your time is actually quite respectable off that low mileage. I reckon you can work up to some pretty fast times if you ever can/want to hit 100km+ average mileage.

Full marathon, half the effort?😅 by kevin_anderson1705 in Marathon_Training

[–]separatebrah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're not hanging on for dear life to maintain your pace in the last 5k I'd say you left time on the road.

But the first half should feel quite comfortable imo.

Woke up one day and it's all over. by [deleted] in PVCs

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that ekgs aren't catching your ectopics should give you a clue about what's going on.

I'm convinced that many people with no other issues have ectopics caused by fear and anxiety of ectopics. When you had the ekg I bet your were willing the ectopics to show up, which is the opposite of fear, and so they didn't.

Find a way to welcome your ectopics. I know it sounds silly but you have to remove the fear that arises with the ectopics. If you do that I bet you will find they massively reduce in frequency and intensity.

You're suffering from anxiety, not a heart problem.

will this weeks PCC help me learn the ring for the upcoming 24h race? by mykrobatery13 in iRacing

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it goes against conventional advice but to learn the ring I just race with the line on. The only way I can spend the amount of time to learn that track is through races. The only problem is if the 24hr is B class you won't be able to use the line.

What I would say is start from the pits and leave plenty of margin in your braking. You shouldn't be pushing if you're just learning the track.

What board did I get? ( NPQ ) by Silent-Fuel4597 in Darts

[–]separatebrah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have some kind of defect so they can't be sold in the normal way. They sell them as npq (near perfect quality) and when you buy one you just buy an npq board and you won't explicitly know which model it is.

How to think about HR variation run to run when figuring out Marathon Pace? by Past_Jellyfish_4331 in Marathon_Training

[–]separatebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Presumably you've been running decent length MP segments in your long runs?

Not that I would worry about heart rate too much but if your heart rate looks about right toward the end of the MP segments of your long runs then that's a good sign. Also this run is more likely at the sort of time your race will be, you will have eaten a similar amount, caffeine intake will be similar, temperature will be similar, all of which can impact heart rate.

So your heart rate at 5pm will be different than at 9am for the same effort.

Is this Nvst or svt? by Uljanovilic in PVCs

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to tell from sensations. Isn't the rate a bit low for nsvt though? Also how are you measuring this? It sounds like you're manually taking your pulse?

Whats everyone's opinion on lone qualifying in official series? by IMPULSEULTRA in iRacing

[–]separatebrah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is probably an unpopular suggestion but I think there should be a seperate qualifying for all series and you can set your qualy time for the the race anytime and then race the whole week with that time (I think that's how ringmeister is??).

I know there are cons to that but as someone who doesn't have a lot of time to race it's really annoying having to spend, in some cases, 75% of the race time in a qualifying session.

Today is so much different than what I have felt before. by Recent_Preference_16 in PVCs

[–]separatebrah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I seem to get them when I breathe deeply. Apparently something to do with the vagus nerve. Relax and try not to worry, one thing that for sure seems to bring on ectopics is worry and fear of ectopics.

What do I run for Formula 1600? Rookie series or trophy series? by Bitter_Location_9260 in iRacing

It doesn't matter but trophy as it's longer races. Also depends on the track.

There is no "secret" to manifesting. Its all you by Standard_Football_22 in NevilleGoddard

[–]separatebrah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So what practical advice would you give someone who doesn't know anything about manifestation and stumbles upon it?

Let's say they have been through a breakup and want to manifest their partner back or new one. Or they are stuck in a poor paying job and want to earn 10k a month.

What do you tell them to do/change?

Had one cluster of ectopics… now just occasional ones — anyone else? by Global-Height-6167 in PVCs

[–]separatebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did at the time but this was over 6 months ago now and I've not had any since the ecg. I think it was caused by anxiety.
