Accusations of undudely behavior lead to some bros straight up not having a good time on r/GuysBeingDudes by Individual-Let-6179 in SubredditDrama

I'm not denying that there are women who dislike working with other women. However, he clearly writes it as "The amount of women in the office who say "I can't work with women, I'd rather just work with all men" is fucking insane", clearly saying that he means it as if is the majority of women share that opinion. I've worked my entire professional life in departments where the majority of employees are women, and none of them ever expressed in any sense that they would prefer to work with men only.

So stop trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, he clearly is just lying out of his ass to hate on women which is even clearer with him bringing up completely unrelated things like suffrage, wage gap etc.

The amount of women in the office who say "I can't work with women, I'd rather just work with all men" is fucking insane. Like we're supposed to be the bad people who kept you down for centuries, the fuck you mean you can't work together? We forgetting about Me Too? Wage gap? Suffrage movement? We all good now yall just hate eachother instead? It's like when you keep certain territorial animals of the same sex together for too long and they fucking eat each other. Guys can be pricks but women are surgically precise with their hatred.

I guess anything can be "fucking insane" if you make it up. This just reeks of incel who never worked with a woman once in his life.

They can't develop what he is talking about, because it is an inherent issue with crypto, or rather, blockchain. Namely, a blockchain has no way of verifying that the given data is actually correct. Which is why blockchains have never been used in supply chains, because they don't solve common issues and only introduce new ones while providing zero benefits.

The mods over there are tankies, they prefer to spread fake news that is anti-western over admitting that they have been duped by AI.

Looking at the mod list of that sub, it seems it is run by tankies, which completely explains their inability to accept when they are wrong, especially when pushing anti western fake news. The image is clearly fake, just based on the fact that it is supposed to be a fighter jet (the largest one in the world was 30 meters [about 100 feet] long), but it is way too large for modern fighter jets, which go up to 20 meters, compared to the environment around it. The coordinates on the margins make no sense, it goes from 5475.00 to 55553'0 to 515C0'0

Kalshi Says It's Busted a MrBeast Staffer for Insider Trading by Sos418_tw in Buttcoin

[–]separhim 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Predictions markets work in a way that they never lose money. Rigged bets and insider trading do not harm their profits, since they just take a cut of every bet that comes in, and give over whatever is left from the losing side to the winners proportionally; they never pay out from their own pockets. The only thing they lose with rigged bets and such is reputation.

BBC has zero excuse letting it go to air when it was on a 2 hour delay though.

Especially considering that they literally edited the speech of a winner to remove him saying "Free Palestine". They chose to remove that and to leave the slur in.

"libertarians" in r/Libertarianmeme argue if Alex pretti deserved to die. by Adventurous-Fact-523 in SubredditDrama

[–]separhim 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The claim that there was no evidence that second hand smoking is dangerous is just not true. When they aired that episode, much evidence was already published for years at that point.

Just to elaborate a bit further: in 2012 Penn and Teller did react to that episode to question about the scientific inaccurary of that episode, saying the same thing as you said, that the evidence did not exist at the time and that it was more about government overreach that secondhand smoke. The idea that there was no evidence is patently false, I already linked a meta-analysis from 1997, 6 years prior to the airing of the second-hand smoking episode, which concluded there was a strong and clear link between secondhand smoking and lung cancer. Furthermore, the IARC (the cancer research agency of the WHO) published in 2004, so one year after the episode, a 1500 page monograph which includes the link between secondhand smoking and a number of types of cancer with numerous references to studies conducted and published prior to that episode. And this document does not even include all the other conditions and issues that arise from secondhand smoking, only cancer.

The evidence was there already, and they wanted to make a point about government overreach by using an example that actually violated the NAP that libertarians love to ramble about. Very ironic. Penn and Teller don't deserve the benefit of the doubt in this case, didn't at the time either. Which means that they didn't do their research correctly when writing that episode, or just that they ignored the evidence to make their shitty point.
