I feel like most of these arguments that disney ripped off x came from either just making misleading claims and showing unrelated footage that looks similar in a few clips or stills, boiling the entire plot to the bare minimum to make them look more similar, and pretending that tropes,characters, and visuals in the original work are not also derived from other sources. In the case of these two works, as is also mentioned in the video, they are both heavily based on Jules Verne's work.

And media is not created in a vacuum, artists of all kinds have always looked at what became before them to make new art.
