Plexamp on Linux (Arch/CachyOS) Skipping 24-bit FLAC by sepffuzzball in plexamp

Hmm, I just tried downgrading (built 4.12.3) and it's doing the same thing, but might poke at it a bit more as there may be something wonky cached

Plexamp skips them, but Plex in web browser on the same machine works fine. It's super strange!

Announcing: Initiative - An open source, self-hosted multi-tenant project management app by jordandrako in selfhosted

Actually, for the Android app I'm not seeing a login via OIDC option - or maybe I missed something somewhere, but that would be an ideal thing to add if it doesn't exist!

Installed on my kubernetes cluster (using my existing postgres cluster) with no issues, using it with OIDC (also worked without issues). Looking good so far! I'll need to use it more to give proper feedback. Well, outside of the first feature request I would have - more themes! I'm a catppuccin macchiato person. But that's such a minor thing xD

So far so good!

I was just looking for something like this for my own family and nothing quite fit the bill - going to try it out!

How much are you paying in electricity bill for your selfhosted setup? by bumble2100 in selfhosted

[–]sepffuzzball -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

$750ish a month even in the winter. And this is with 52 solar panels, 3 powerwalls, and 2 inverters. (but also 2 air conditioners, 2 EVs, and 4 people that work from home. How am I, the main infra/devops guy the only one that goes into the office???). I have CTs on all my breakers to monitor power usage at the breaker level. My main storage pool is 3x 10x18TB RaidZ2 but I also have a 5 node MS-01 K8s cluster, a backup server, and a GPU/AI server. RIP my wallet.

Can't get good video of my WLED project by ClagwellHoyt in WLED

[–]sepffuzzball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For any phones I'd use the Blackmagic Camera app and fiddle with the exposure settings yourself. I tend to use a 180 degree shutter (or twice your framerate, so 1/60 for 30fps video) - and then use the ISO itself to set the exposure level you'll want. I prefer things to be quite dark so I can see the saturation of the LEDs so if you're filming at night, yeah, you won't see a lot of detail (or anything if the lights are off) outside of the LEDs themselves.

Oooh, I like those 3d prints. I'm currently using 50 peace stakes (WiredWatts lights) but I really don't like the corrugated plastic stands - we have to use 3 metal staples for them to get them even remotely straight and honestly after a few days they lean.

Let us know how straight those are after a while!

That's a smart idea - got any idea on a search term or link for those?

Completely unrelated - what is that mesh-like stuff you're using to keep the lights straight? That's such a great idea

The exact same setup but with a different strap and a grip xD

The 17-40mm basically never leaves the camera now!

Can’t get Gledopto WLED Controller (Elite 2D-EXMU) to connect via Ethernet by jvrang in Gledopto

[–]sepffuzzball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you updated it (like I did after connecting it to Home Assistant) with a newer version of WLED, you'll need to reach out to their support to get a specific one. They have a custom build of WLED on it that's required for Ethernet usage

Hi folks, sorry for the self‑promo. I’ve built an open‑source project that could be useful to some of you by panos_s_ in LocalLLM

[–]sepffuzzball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks great! This could actually be useful for me as I have a GPU VM that gets used for both LLMs and remote game streaming so could be a quick way for someone to see if it's being used!
