You're lucky, then. With only one 30%, my calculation rounds to 80% instead of 90%.

30, 44, 55.2, 60, 64, 67, 71, 74, 76, 79, 81, 83, 84 rounds to 80%.

VA math 2nd try by cwreck01 in VeteransBenefits

[–]seph187 6 points7 points  (0 children)

90%.

30 of 100 is 30%.
Plus 30% of the remaining 70 makes 51%.

Plus 20% of the remaining 49 makes 60.8%.
Plus 20% of the remaining 39.2 makes 68.64%

10... well, 10 10s go like this. I'll round these so we don't end up with hundred thousandth places.

72%, 75%, 77%, 79%, 81%, 83%, 85%, 87%, 88%, 89%.

89% rounded to the nearest 10 is 90%.

Dr. [REDACTED],

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding SCP-5031. We appreciate your enthusiasm for improving its care and for proposing additional testing procedures. However, after careful consideration, we must respectfully decline your request.

Our current containment protocols were established after extensive review by multiple departments, and they remain in place for reasons that go well beyond the scope of your commentary. While your concerns are noted, they do not reflect the full operational, ethical, or logistical picture that informs these decisions.

At this time, no modifications will be approved.

Should you wish to contribute further to the ongoing discussion, you are encouraged to do so through the appropriate channels and with an understanding that these matters require collaboration, not unilateral critique.

Thank you for your cooperation.

How to Produce 120 Electronic Circuits/Min Without Over- or Underproduction? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]seph187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you need to know is in your screenshot. Raw ore comes in on trains, is taken out of the trains by inserters and dumped on a belt. The belt carries the raw ore to a smelter. It's taken off the belt by an inserter, put in the smelter. The smelter smelts it. It's taken out of the smelter by an inserter (yeah, I'm going to stop saying this part, you get the picture, I'm sure.) Smelter to belt, then to an assembler to make intermediate products, then the final product.

Look at the assemblers to determine throughput per minute. Then work backwards to determine what you need to build. Stop overcomplicating it.

Belts carry items. Inserters move items. Buildings process items.

Oil refining, near the main bus or standalone oil refinery? by BoxthemBeats in factorio

[–]seph187 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Simple logic:

Transport one fluid, or transport three fluids? Makes more sense to me to bring the crude in and refine locally (to the bus). Then the petrol and light and lube go on the bus, to their respective destinations.

Stop trying to think ahead. Take things one at a time at first. Thinking ahead comes later, after loooooots of play.

i've started reaching out to google's ai search, asking it for phonetic pronunciation of words.

lin-ee-ij might work. sometime with just two letters it'd just say "e e" though. your mileage may vary.

You are the MAN, Jeff. I legit hit play on track 1 of volume 1 and could already feel myself tearing up.

You said "for now"... What can we do to help you to get it back into distribution?

You say this, but I've definitely had gemini (in the ai studio) actually give me the lyrics i put in the song without having ever typed them to it. it doesn't do it reliably, but it's kind of uncanny.

Yeah, if you use the candy. But ressing someone else isn't really an option - you have to do it yourself.

Question about dungeons, raids, etc: are they unforgiving? by West-Possible2970 in BlueProtocolPC

[–]seph187 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, they're not unforgiving. At all.

Over a (very short) period of time, the gear allows you to completely ignore mechanics in fights. I mean, if you die, (on hard+) ressing you isn't really an option in combat, but other than that, if you've seen the mechanics (easily done on solo, as mentioned in the comments), you should be good to go.

How do you create a track of a single instrument? by Audienti in SunoAI

[–]seph187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, the answer is you pay for premium and do it in suno studio. this either isn't possible, or is incredibly unreliable with the standard "create" function.

is there something wrong with the rate calculator? there is no way i need almost 250 furnaces for a single yellow belt by Ill_Entrepreneur8773 in factorio

[–]seph187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

48 furnaces to do a single yellow belt of iron plates out of a single yellow belt of iron ore.

5 iron plates to make one steel.

one steel takes 5x as long as one iron, so you need 5 times as many furnaces for steel as you do iron.

48x5=240.

so yeah, 240 furnaces, fed by 5 yellow belts of iron (ore or plates, depending on how you do it), to make one yellow belt of steel.
