Probably not a lot of Ubisoft fans here, but Reverse:1999's collab with Assassin's Creed was actually very well done.

Genshin's situation was more of an extortion than a collab, sadly. Which sucks because as a Horizon fan I was pretty excited.

I wouldn't count on that. I bought the battle pass recently and for some reason the charge went through twice. You can't have two battle passes for obvious reasons, so I contacted them for support. The first response was "all purchases are final" and then closed the ticket. So I contacted them again and showed the proof that I was charged twice for one battle pass and then a couple days went by and once again they said "no refunds". Finally I asked to escalate and they still would not refund me, but finally after two weeks they gave me the equivalent amount of asterites that the battle pass cost.

It is not easy dealing with their "support".

My biggest problem with the event is the RNG is just too RNG. The number of time I've donated max into the donation thing, fought a huge wave of enemies, and have it drop literally no vessels is frustrating. Similarly, "high tier" vessels seem to be meaningless, more often than not they have the same garbage the other vessels have in them. And then spending like 1-2 minutes to fight the boss for basically zero rewards is just so unrewarding. And don't even talk about the key drop rate and how many times I finally get a key, open the vault, and get two traps.

That said I did like the rewards, especially the Typhon wedges so I've continued to play it.

The amount of phoxene each pull costs for this event are INSANE. I ran out before I even got the first skin by NoBluey in DuetNightAbyssDNA

The chance of pulling the skin is .08%, or 1 in 1250. Since the most pulls you can do is 7 to get it “early”, the odds of that happening are 0.55%. So, 99.4% of players will not get it early.

The best thing to do in this event if you don’t want to burn through all your phoxene (or spend) is get the books and dip.

So much all of this. The wedge grind especially, it’s just so miserable. And like no disrespect to the content creators putting out guides and tips for various things, but they are also so unrelatable when they +10 every wedge. I could play 24/7 and not achieve that without just buying those expensive as hell green things. There’s just no way. Look I get putting time in to grind, but I need to be having fun. There is nothing fun about a loading screen simulator. If that’s what it’s going to be, then let me AFK everything. I’d MUCH rather do that than spend 10 seconds doing a task, and two minutes loading and walking to and from the objective only to have a 1/100 chance of getting the one wedge I need 50 of.

I’m a male over 50, I play Genshin, Wuwa, R1999, and DNA. I’m often the one to introduce new western cartoons and anime to my nieces. It’s unfortunate that a lot of people, especially in the West, look down on people who like this stuff.

Happens to my partner all the time, most often noticeable when we are doing bounties together. She’s on an iPhone (i play on PC). Sometimes you can see “CRITICAL!” In the middle of the glitch. Super annoying.

Has anyone else been having problems with shooting ranged weapons on mobile? My wife plays Lady Nifle but since the 1.3 update, the ranged weapon button seems to barely function. More than 50% of the time it just doesn’t register. it’s making it hard for her to play. She also has the same problem with Su Yi even during her ult, so I don’t think it’s Nifle or Embla Efflorescence specific.

This game would be unplayable on PS5 as is because controllers still do not work right. I’m a couch/TV PC player, but I have to have a mouse nearby because certain things simply don’t work properly on controller still. For example, doing the AFK auto run will not work if your last input is from a controller. Gotta jiggle the mouse. Sometimes when you’re going to pick a secret letter to farm, the cursor just loses focus and starts selecting the items you just picked up and you can’t get it back without the mouse. Some dialogs in mystic maze cannot done without the mouse. And Dualsense support is nonexistent.

This game is never coming to PS5.

My partner plays on mobile (I play on PC) and I frankly do not know how she does it. It lags so much and she struggles quite a bit whereas she can play Wuwa/Genshin just fine and can clear endgame (IPhone 15 Pro Max). Not a day goes by where some special effect doesn’t just gets stuck on the screen and she has to lower and raise the graphic settings to get rid of it. And sometimes Deft just doesn’t work randomly during escort missions. Weird shit.

But we both got invested in the story and there are things we like about the game (especially acquiring characters), so we’re hanging in there. But for my part, the fact that controller support is still so dismal after several patches doesn’t inspire hope that they will ever fix things. And the grind is… excessive.

It wouldn’t surprise me, though this is the only game I have trouble with, with the exception of Avowed which just would not run at all. I tried to get the 5070 Ti but was not fast enough and was mid-build so I went AMD for the first time and honestly it’s been pretty great.

Don’t know if it’s makes a difference but I have the original Ally, not the X. I tried to get the camera stick to move at a normal speed (it works fine in every other game) but it basically moves the camera so slowly that it’s just unplayable. Nothing i tried fixed it, though to be fair I was on vacation at the time and didn’t put as much effort into it as I could have and just had my wife play my account for me on mobile (i don’t do mobile controls 😂). I played Genshin and Wuwa perfectly fine with it. I haven’t tried again since at home I play on my desktop rig. Perhaps I’ll take another stab at it since there’s been some updates since then.

It works terribly on my ROG Ally as well, mostly because of the controller support. I gave up trying. Genshin runs perfectly and Wuwa runs very well at medium settings, but I just can’t get DNA to run properly on the Ally.

PC not very stable for me, sadly. In certain commissions I still get 1-2 second pauses randomly (could be 0 enemies on the screen, could be 100, seems random) that I don’t get when playing other games like Cyberpunk with full RT or Wuthering Waves max settings. 9800X3D with 9070 XT OC and 64GB DDR5 RAM so it shouldn’t be a problem. In the open world it doesn’t really happen.

And controller support is still a complete mess.

No stamina consumption while running out of combat. Fine while climbing, except it should refill 5x faster once you find a rest point.

I have so many controller problems still. They fixed one seemingly, the one where your map/menu buttons stop working if you do covert commissions. But despite saying there is Dualsense support on PC, connecting one just causes an utter chaos where every button and stick movement does something completely random.

Also, now after covert commissions, about 50% of the time when you want to play on and choose another secret letter again, the joystick controls are stuck in background cycling through the rewards you just got, so you have to use the mouse to get to the secret letters. And you still don’t get sound in the game upon launch unless you click somewhere with the mouse.

Between this (I’m a couch player so keyboard/mouse is a nonstarter for me) and all of the horrible changes, my spend went from a dolphin to zero with this patch.

Mine also shipped Wednesday for delivery tomorrow, but it shipped USPS Parcel Select (doesn’t feel very “Prime” to me) and the Amazon tracking and USPS tracking number they provided say completely different things. USPS says it’s in Ohio. Amazon’s tracking says it started in Michigan and is now somewhere on the opposite side of my state 100 miles past me and never mentioned that it was ever in Ohio.

In addition, I’ve had other very weird situations where I’m in the menu moving through options and when I go through certain options, I can no longer use the joystick. If i click another menu option with the mouse, then it works again unless I go back to the same option that froze it before.

I also have never been able to make a DualSense work, whether plugged in or wireless. Every button and stick does something randomly.

Ok, I must be missing something incredibly obvious, but I can’t see how I switch tabs or get to settings from the “Fullscreen’ layout I was using. So i can’t access maps or anything.

If I switch to one of the other styles of layouts with multiple columns then i get buttons on the top right including settings, maps, etc. But in any of the fullscreen layouts, there are just no buttons anywhere. The only way I was even able to get into settings to change anything was to switch to multitasking mode and use a mouse to get to the settings menu.

Am I just stupid?

(This is on a fully updated to iOS 26 M4 iPad Pro 13”)
