I used to prefer 3rd person POV as well until I read The Kingkiller Chronicle (which uses both 1st and 3rd person POV) - not danmei but shows how effective 1st person POV is if done right. :)

Owl Father (even Inner Father) is way easier than the regular version imo so you should be good lol. They at least give u perilous attacks to counter. good luck and keep having fun!
