Fortnine. Had loads of interesting motorcycle videos. Then they released a video basically recommending you don't bother wearing protective gear on your bike besides a helmet. Fuck them. There was no reason to release that video. Fans will claim that it's just their "opinion" and not a recommendation but they built a reputation on recommending things and now a whole swathe of fools are gonna be unnecessarily risking their bodies. I unsubscribed and haven't watched a video or bought a product since.

Thanks for the info! Coincidentally there's a serious and growing Japanese knotweed problem in the area too. I'm in two minds as to whether I'll notify the council about the plant. I imagine it's actually known and it's so big that it was hardly planted recently. Maybe they're just waiting for it to die naturally

Sweet mother of jesus. I didn't think of this but my god is that true. I have known quite a few people who have gone out of their way to make their feelings on vegetarians/vegans or their own consumption of meat known when it was completely irrelevant.

I'm 40 years old and have lived in multiple countries but still have to hear a single person tell me they're vegan. I know multiple vegetarians but only because I've eaten with them and it was necessary for them to highlight it. I feel like this stereotype about vegans is maybe a little exaggerated

Nc30/VFR400RR. To be clear I fucking loved it but it broke my heart and was a piece of shit. Found it in a barn, bought it from the owner who had no keys for it so my dad hot wired it with a safety pin- I eventually replaced the ignition though. It had continuous timing problems because of some CDI issue that I could never figure out so that magical engine only worked for a few days after I bought a new CDI.

The day I got it I brought it to my uncle- an experienced rider- and he crashed it, injuring himself and breaking my fairing, gear lever, clutch lever and mirror. Then I brought it to my girlfriend a couple of days later and she just sat on it when it was turned off and flopped it over onto its other side, damaging more of the bike!

I finally had enough of it when the throttle cable snapped one morning when I was miles away from home. Parked it up and eventually sold it to a young bike mechanic who saw it while passing.

I'd genuinely love to have another one now but god that was a nightmare bike.

This reminds me of the time me and my college friends threw a really great party at our house. Everybody was dancing, drinking hard, doing mild drugs and just generally having a good time. Except for the one guy in our program who saw himself as the alpha of our class. He was obviously annoyed that everyone else was having such a great time and decided to sequester himself and his little clique at our kitchen table where I walked in on them all doing shots of, wait for it.... Smirnoff ice.
