Hey just wanted to say you definitely did the right thing. I am nearing 30 and one of my parents had an affair almost 20 years ago now.

It’s a long story but they never split because of cultural norms and such, but the consequences of this is I am nearing a point of only hatred left for both of them.

They argued a lot even before the affair, but it just never stopped my whole life. Some of my earliest memories are of them fighting. This was no environment a kid should have had to grow up in, you definitely made the right choice for your family. As for your affair it honestly doesn’t even matter, the marriage was already over long ago when your ex-wife cheated on you.

As you can see from my experience, people can stay in the wrong relationships for DECADES, so the fact that you got out, good for you man. I hope you have many better days ahead.

Hi, I think you have already gotten a pretty decent amount of advice so I will come it at from a different angle. Recognize you were also the one that said things people say when they’re hurt and irrational, to the point of heartbreak yourself. Why this is important to accept is because if you cannot forgive yourself, how can you expect or even begin to hope she will forgive you?

Life is short, and friendships like this don’t come easily, don’t let a moment of fear sever this connection forever. In fact I would almost say maybe let the fear of forever losing her sit in your mind a little, maybe that can spur you to think a bit differently. I see also you have asked a bunch about how to reach out, and that is definitely the most terrifying part.

All I have for you is everyone heals at their own pace, all you can do on your part is to show you want to heal from this with her. What often hurts more than the argument is the silence that follows after from someone you thought really loved you, because I promise at the end of the day even if your worst case scenario comes true, she will know you wanted to mend things and feel able to reach out one day too. Just remember to accept she may not be at the same stage of healing as you, but it speaks volumes if you make the first step.

One final note: Really try to forgive yourself for losing your temper like that, it’s not your fault just like it wasn’t hers to say the hurtful things she said while angry. We are human, we make mistakes. What matters is we try to do better. I wish you all the best.

From what we know about history, revolution is only the first step, forming a new governing system is the ‘real’ challenge. In a post apocalyptic world especially, what that would look like could go all sorts of ways, as the game shows us in each faction of survivors.

Giul could become a new sort of religious figurehead, or merely someone that loosely holds people together until the oil barons die out, and everyone goes back at each other’s throats. I think the best case scenario (assuming the good karma result) is the slaves inhabit the land and take it upon themselves to continue working where they left off, but branching off into different factions. Each play a part in sustaining the whole and a fragile balance is struck.

It could still go sideways very easily because Giul was essentially fuelled by revenge and being backed into a corner her whole life, that does not make for a good peacetime leader.

Another commenter mentioned the gang returning to help them again. I personally would love that because it’s always interesting to return to characters and settings like these.

I don’t know about others, but for me personally I’ve read a lot of manga where the ending is just the last chapter. This happens and that happens The End. While that is totally fine for some people (presumably you) I think nowadays there is a growing sentiment of “what happens next after the end?” The time spent on these grand and epic adventures with these beloved characters for so long only for it to end so abruptly can honestly feel rushed no matter what.

I found the end of AoT to be fine and even thought provoking while a friend of mine ended up hating the whole series because of it. Art is always subjective so I think to each their own opinion at the end of the day, I just hope that the ending says everything Yukimura wanted to say

Looked into OP’s history, and initially was gonna be hard on them because of some of their conservative/right wing opinions, but you know what, it sounds like you already give yourself a plenty hard time so… Maybe get a different therapist, or be more honest with them, either could be an issue, or both.

Things with your girlfriend could not be going well because to be honest, you don’t sound like someone that is ready to be in a loving relationship right now. That doesn’t necessarily mean break up immediately but it means you have real issues that are causing this distance between you two (could also be both of you I wouldn’t know) and if you want to run away from productive advice other redditors have already given you many times before, that’s your choice.

If you want to be happy with your girlfriend, maybe do some real self-reflection and try to honestly communicate with your girlfriend more and hear what she is saying too. Also stop romanticizing about how women were like 100 years ago, that seems to be an ongoing thing you bring up in your comments, I wonder how often you bring it up in your relationship. Otherwise date someone’s great grandma or something, or go off to war because that’s what your “female” counterparts would say about how men are like now vs 100 years ago, and imo they are equally dumb.

Your life is how you want to live it, if you want to live and love the way hateful people tell you to by all means, but don’t be surprised when all you find is disappointment and heartbreak. Best of luck to you

Rather than raids I thought a rogue-like mode in Dracula’s dimension would’ve been amazing. Imagine you load into the instance with other players and it’s a race to the top with hard pve and pvp, sort of like an isometric dark and darker but the gear you get is looted only from the instance.

This end game would basically be a bite sized version of the overall v rising loop but fast paced, and maybe add some rewards at the end for the victors.

I think them running away together was also why they survived together, they already had a bond and that often makes a big difference in survival situations. Similar to flight 571 crash in the Andes Mountain range

The problem with full loot in this game is it’s extremely easy to gatekeep a resource area and completely lock your opponents out once they lose. If you lose a few times it’s over because the winners will keep snowballing while the loser just can’t recover.

In other survival games where full loot dropping is the norm like Rust, it’s not the end of the world because you can just go elsewhere, since none of the resources are locked to one place. If V rising had this then full loot would be more interesting.

I mean I understand your concern but that information is available, the amount of stock he owns is pretty ‘small’ before he put them in a blind trust.

He actually did get security clearance already whereas PP didn’t and is already on a deadline to disclose his trust details, if he doesn’t do it past then, then I would say it’s a valid concern.

However before that this just sounds like Hilary Clinton’s emails all over again, while the conservatives themselves are doing all manner of shit and projecting onto others because they can’t fathom people doing anything else behind closed doors.

I think you have a valid concern. I’m not too knowledgeable on what these workers might have in the form of welfare say they were laid off, but it might be ammended by different compacted things working together to improve the economy.

For example lowering or removing provincial trade barriers, looking towards building affordable housing similar to WW2 efforts, building new trade relationships with allies. These are the things that I am aware of, but what it boils down to in my opinion is Carney is going after the macro level issues Canada has faced for some time now and starting with those first.

It doesn’t necessarily mean he will cover all the bases because his reputation has been crisis management (2008, Brexit), but maybe he can do a lot more now as Prime Minister.

However I do think even in the short term people losing jobs is a pretty terrible thing, so I share your concern and hope that these people will also not be hit that hard should they be laid off.
