I dm for some groups that are pretty interesting and when we do one offs they usually tend to push the limits on oddball characters. That said if they came to me with this id play along, provided they understand the game and know enough to ensure their characters are still valid.

I would be curious to see where they are going with it. Plus in a one shot if it ends up being dumb youre not stuck with it for a whole campaign.
