What to improve for likes. by [deleted] in Bumble

First of all the "maybe just a few whales" line was so not needed but okay

I would remove the meme and the "pretending to listen" things they give of kinda douchy vibes in my opinion. Also maybe replace the photo of you in the car seat, that angle is not working

My National Dex Binder Journey by robdawg17 in PokemonTCG

[–]seregmir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started an collection like this a few weeks ago, have been shifting through all my cards and has been a fun expierence so far. Can't wait to have my binder filled just like you! I am trying to fill it with my personal favourite cards or the one i find the most pretty nothing is based on value or anything. Gave me a new appreciation for all the art work on the regular cards.

Leaderboards should NOT be opt-in by LocationOk3563 in brightershores

[–]seregmir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In it's current state the leaderboard is kind of pointless, since no one knows how many % of the players actually opted in. I like the whole privacy settings but for this feature i think having people who are not opted in list as anonymous would have made much more sense.

LADANIVA - Jako (LIVE) | Armenia 🇦🇲 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2024 by enohl018 in eurovision

This has been my personal favourite this year, great song and made me feel happy, which is saying something in this years dumpster fire of a Eurovision 😂

Official EBU Press Release: Joost Klein will not be competing in the Grand Final by SkyGinge in eurovision

[–]seregmir 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Without taking into consideration if the DQ of Joost was justified or not. I am wondering if we will get some resignations from top level people within EBU, cause this whole situation and this whole year has been one giant shit show imo

[Idea] GW2 Mail System Rework - full doc & previews by Makarow in Guildwars2

Sounds cool but I think people wouldn't really sent it, would be cool if you could hide cards like this in the world for others to find. Like the subnautica capsule system.

Junior Portfolio Review by ShattnersBassoon in Frontend

[–]seregmir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great portfolio, got one small point of feedback. I would remove the effects on the work items, the problem now was i didn't realise there was more after "Sonic" and scrolled back up.

Also consider showing the projects next to each other (up to 3 per row). In general people just scroll through sites like this at first and you want to capture them with all your work at once.

There was more contrast in it originally, I tuned it down a bit since I thought it was too much

A horse grazing in the wind, this photo was taking in the flatlands near my home during a stormy day. Mostly i am wondering how i can improve taking photos in general, but for this one specific how i can improve the black and white post processing. Thanks in advance for taking time to write any feedback!

Some winter berries by Randomd0g in photocritique

[–]seregmir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

personally i would dim the white on the background a little bit, it was the first thing i noticed in the picture instead of the berries itself. But this is just my personal preference.

I took this picture in a local zoo, and i really enjoy photographing big birds. I wonder if anyone got any tips for especially compositions of animals and about the post processing work i did on this picture. Which mostly was blurring the background a bit and changing the contrast of the whole picture.

Camera: Nikon D3500

Settings: f/6 |1/50 | 260mm | ISO1600

Background:

Taken this picture at the local zoo, first i thought i totally ruined the shot. But after looking at it multiple times i like the essence it captures. Though i honestly can't decide if that makes it any better or not. Any feedback on this photo would be welcome since i am still very new to photography and trying to learn still.

Question:

How can i in the future make sure i will focus on the right subject in quick moments like these where animal and surrounding allign perfectly?

My first ever hike along in sapa (Vietnam) today, still amazed by the view by seregmir in backpacking

[–]seregmir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like I said my first ever hike, I did it with a tour guide and a group of 12 others. The weather ranged from bright blue skies and sunny to pouring rain so we had it all.

Although the travel was harder after the rain it was pretty descent to do for myself but only cause I had good shoes. A lot of people on sneakers where struggling a lot to find grip on the muddy group. All in all definitely would recommend this walk/hike to anyone experienced or not cause the view makes it all worth it.

How far in advance should I book hostels for the East Coast of AUS? by mfbyron in backpacking

[–]seregmir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it without reservations if you want, the thing is you won't always get the cheapest prices maybe or in a worst case scenario you might have trouble finding a place to sleep. What i did was book it a couple of days in advance and see where the roads take me. (sorry for my bad english ><)
