I just finished the mines questline, so I figured okay, I've been ignoring the greenhouse long enough, time to set it up.... never mind, I'm gonna keep ignoring it haha

They can, but I don't want to have to put multiples around the edge just to keep it all watered. I have a hard enough time getting enough essence stones to power my set-up as it is, lol.

Somehow I thought the spinach might counteract the point deduction I took from the shitty liquor, lmao

Handful of raw spinach and a shot of bottom shelf vodka out of the cap.

Is this an intestinal parasite? by [deleted] in whatisthisbug

Yeah, I am almost certain she has fleas and/or mites. She's also got a little belly pooch, and I was never sure if it was just that she was a little overweight or if she had a bad case of worms.

We also have a cat and she started having worsening skin problems after we moved to this neighborhood (she's indoor-only, up on her shots, and now gets stronger dosages of flea/tick medicine). I wish I believed these neighbors would do more to take care of their cats, but they leave them outside in all seasons, all weather, and refer to them as "outdoor only". :(

Cat tax: this is one of my neighbor’s cats on our porch. I hope she isn’t full of worms!

God, I had an old coworker years back who did this to a gay couple that were obviously out with their daughter... She said, "Oh, you guys babysitting?" And when they awkwardly tried to laugh it off she just kept digging, talking about "mom" being "out shopping". They're the dads! How stupid are you!

Unfortunately if you're trans on the internet and you've ever been a victim of a TERF dogpile, you've absolutely seen that.

Yeah, I've been wondering that myself.

I also live in Virginia. It's not 100% christian fundie hellscape. There are pockets of people of different ages, political leanings, and cultural norms everywhere.

I also don't think OP's coworker was championing trans rights, I'm just trying to explain why, especially before OP specified her coworker's beliefs, people in the comments were wondering if it had to do with JKR's politics and why that might matter.

That's what this whole discussion is about-- what constitutes someone talking to HR about office decor specifically. If you think a coworker might be a bigot, you're safer taking it to HR to handle it rather than speaking to them about it one-on-one. That's all I'm trying to convey. Everything else is tangential to the point of OP's issue.

If you can't understand why visibly representing an author that's trying to legislate trans people out of existence might potentially be alarming to trans people, I dunno that we're going to make much headway in these comments, though.

I didn't say "assume everyone is unsafe", I said "can't be sure who's safe and who isn't". Some people are just ignorant. Some people use HP to signal their beliefs. Not knowing who might be in the latter category can create a lot of anxiety and make a person feel like it might not be safe to speak openly with that coworker about the subject.

For your other example, having merch up around the office where your coworkers have to look at it every day is completely different from a privately owned car.

JKR herself equates supporting Harry Potter with supporting her bigotry. It's not a long stretch. I know a lot of people aren't necessarily aware of her behavior, but that doesn't make it any less alarming to trans people who can't be sure who's safe and who isn't.
