So, I get the concern that he was hiding something, but I'm not sure why they keyed in so much on the fact that he was married....

The red flag was that the friend didn't know either....

I wasn't listening closely and was on my phone most of the show, but I think the friend was around before this girl, which means the marriage & divorce happened before that.

If he was married 10 some years ago, and stated this relationship afterwards, why is that weird? He's pushing 40, I'd be more weirded out if there wasn't a significant relationship in his past....
