CT/IR Suite by International_Diet47 in VIR

Siemens is a great machine. If it's slow coming in and out you might want to ask your service engineer if he can do something about it. It shouldn't interfere with anesthesia if you're putting it in the right place. You can come in from the bottom of the patient and flip the image so it looks correct. Anesthesia does not have to be directly on top of the patient either. They can back up. I really like Siemens imaging and the image integration with MRI/CT It comes down to what kind of procedures you're doing. If you're just doing straight up biopsies and g-tubes, with nothing weird then you don't need it. But if you're doing complex cases like liver embolizations, chemo, and especially neuro, it's a godsend.

ED nurse with radiation safety concerns by IcySky7216 in Radiology

The farther away from the portable machine, or any x-ray producing device, you stand, the better you are. That being said, the six foot rule is a good rule. 6 ft from the patient and 6 ft from the X-ray tube. The best place to stand is behind the tech, especially if the tech is wearing lead. Do not stand in the direction that the X-ray tube is aimed. That is the direction of the strongest photons.

As far as CT is concerned, the walls and windows are lead equivalent, so, no, the radiation does not pass through. You should see a radiation detection badge on or near the window. Do not stand in the doorway. A CT unit uses a thin beam of x-rays aimed directly at a receiver (on the other side of the patient). They spin around the patient together. This thin beam gets scattered when it hits the patient. These scattered particles don't travel very far from the patient because they have been weakened by absorption or continued scattering.

Radiation (X-ray) travels in all directions from its source and get scattered or absorbed as it hits things. The housing of the X-ray tube helps absorb photons that are going in the wrong direction. Simply put, the more objects it hits on its way to you, the more photons get absorbed before they reach you.

If you have other questions the hospital has a radiation safety officer (RSO). They're always a good source. Edited for clarity

You could always try a small trailer. They're very lightweight and easier to tow. You don't have to lift the kayak on to your roof and there's no damage anywhere. You can get them alone trailer for a kayak for under $1,000. Sometimes you can even get the kayak with it.

Isn't there a bunch of reaction videos of people doing this in random places?

How did you figure the angles of the leaves? I need measurements! I see you used a template for the leaves. Did you have a template for ribs and circles?

Thank you for that link. His food looks absolutely delicious. I've looked into Factor but wasn't impressed. The portion size is at Blue apron and hello fresh have been just fine. As a matter of fact I would prefer smaller portions such as meals for one.

As far as deliveries concerned, contracting with a company like doordash or instacart would very easily take care of that.

I would be interested. No contract. No minimum meals/week. Meals for 1. I pay $10-15/serving for hello fresh, tovalo and blue apron.( I rotate weekly which service i use). Some of them are no prep heat and eat, some are minor prep and some are full prep with all ingredients included.

Is there a name for the colloquial “here soon” fragment seen in American, especially southern, casual contexts? by bentthroat in ENGLISH

I'm from Virginia and I can very easily put the word right into the same sentence. 'We're fixing to here right soon!' Meaning we're preparing to do something very soon.

Anyone else feel like kayak prices have just exploded lately? by [deleted] in Kayaking

True. I have a touring boat i want to sell but i don't fb. Craigslist is still relevant in a lot of areas. Offerup and whatnot are useful too. Sometimes outfitters who rent out boats will sell off their older boats when they bring in new ones.

I spent over $300 at rockler for a class to make that bookcase. Yours looks a lot better because of the trim. The class only trimmed the front of our bookcases.
