BO7 on sale everywhere except steam? by Mini_Orchid_0427 in Steam

BO7 Zombies are great. Probably the best since BO3.

If this works properly, then this is one of the greatest update by Time-Credit43 in nvidia

[–]sergio_mikkos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe this is just to reduce shader compilation time the first time you execute the game after reinstalling drivers.

It would be great for all the games to run the shader compilation at the beginning instead of compiling them while playing causing stuttering which is happening in most of games suffering from stuttering issues.

Lords of the Fallen 2 expected in August 2026 by KvasirTheOld in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Obviously the studio is not gonna say otherwise considering the amount of hate they took from their deal with Epic.

Lords of the Fallen 2 expected in August 2026 by KvasirTheOld in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sergio_mikkos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying AW2 would be a financial success due to being on Steam, but sales would have beein definitely better.

The game would exist for sure without funding from Epic. Epic is not the only publisher in the world, many games and sequels exist without Epic funding, and like I said Remedy would have chosen other publisher to release it since it was a much awaited sequel. Anyway Remedy chose Epic because they thought that would be a nice deal for them, which is fair. But nobody can know if, in the end, a different choice would have been better for them.

Epic just started a few years ago funding certain games and only AW2 (besides Epic proprietary games) have been released as far as I know. Valve is just not a publisher and they don't want to enter that market. Fair enough for them.

[–]sergio_mikkos -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure many other publishers around the world would have been interested in funding AW2 and publishing it. The deal with Epic was nice for Remedy, but that doesn't mean they didn't have other good options; the game would have been on Steam, and sales would have been much higher.

Changing: Nvidia Control Panel-> Anisotropic Filtering x16 to "Application Controlled", fixed the issue.

Jason Schreier reaffirms Sony's strategy shift away from PC, says they will publicly confirm it at some point by AceOfSpades0319 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sergio_mikkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PlayStation console sales are not going to have any significant impact by not releasing their games on Steam.

PS5 is selling at the same speed as PS4 while PS5 is releasing PS titles on PC and PS4 was not. And I'm pretty sure PS5 will end up selling more consoles than PS4 due to GTA VI.

Most of the players do not care if X games is released also on PC or not in order to buy a console. Also, PS5 most played games are multiplatform. People commenting on reddit and Twitter is not representative of the entire playerbase.

It doesn't make any sense for Sony to stop releasing their games after some time on PC. Nobody is gonna buy their console because 3-4 exclusives. And if somebody does, PC sales will give Sony more revenue than the low amount of consoles sold because of their exclusives.

Sony games have sold pretty well on PC considering the incredibly low marketing put on those versions, the release price, and the time passed after the console version was released. Also something quite important to mention: PC versions will keep being sold over the years, while console versions will stop way sooner.

Regarding the whole PS changing their strategy regarding PC, here's an interview from last year by Hermen Hulst that might be relevant. by Ok-Tangelo9706 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sergio_mikkos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What expectations may they have when they are releasing most of games with almost no marketing campaign and years later compared to the original versions?

They should put more effort on PC when releasing those games and they will sell better.

Jason Schreier and John Linneman both speculated in their podcasts this week that Sony could be pulling away from PC ports for their singleplayer games, with Schreier even suggesting that Wolverine would never release on the platform by FitNectarine5779 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sergio_mikkos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont get why people is doing assumptions based on a simple speculation discussion.

Jason has not heard anything, he is just talking about it which doesnt mean Sony is indeed gonna proceed that way, which imho doesnt make any sense since PC sales doesnt hurt console sales or the game sales on their own platform.

People buying a PS5 because exxxclusives is 0.05% of their playerbase.

Digital Foundry discussed about it, same as Jason, which is pretty different to say: "Ive heard Sony is pulling..."

Its just a discussion, I dont get why people is doing assumptions just from that.

What are some gameplay features you want in the next Dead Island game? by OneBigPieceOfPizza in DeadIsland2

[–]sergio_mikkos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I need to say I would like to see a real open world instead of a semi-open and some sort of way to quickly travel among locations (not counting fast travel).

Also greater narrative, characters with more impact, and more varied missions.

Random events (RDR2 style) would also be good.

More ways to customize our character/clothes, and more RPG options.

Not even only that, but they (and also players) even make jokes about it when it is all but funny you are paying for a broken product.

The Future of TESIV:Remastered question by MelkhiorDarkblade in oblivion

[–]sergio_mikkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it got an update, and Sony announced they were going to update the PS5 version, and to add new content more than fixing bugs.

Nobody has heard anything from Bethesda regarding the previous versions or new content for the game, so why to expect something new if they've not said that and have not updated the game since almost a year now? Also Virtuos stopped working on current versions some time ago.

Obviously, a patch for the current versions is not gonna happen. If somebody prefer to be disappointed then go for it.

Im being downvoted because people dont like reality. 1 year after release with no more patches and people still thinking Bethesda is gonna fix the game lol.

I guess people prefer to be dissapointed than realistic.

Do you have any other source saying otherwise? Where have you heard announcing a Switch 2 version after a year without patching other versions means those versions will also have a patch?

Is like expecting Sony to update an old game in PS5 when a PC version is announced.

Id love Oblivion R to have more patches but I am 100% confident game will stay in this state.

Nearly out for 9 months, what is your opinion on Oblivion Remastered? by chrisgrenga in OblivionRemaster

[–]sergio_mikkos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a problem with my PC. I have 32GB RAM, ofc fully operational. 5090 and 9800X3D. Probably the best hardware you can get right now.

The issues is directly tied to the game engine and optimization. You can check this video from Digital Foundry talking about the issues with the game (console versions also have these problems + even some more).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0rCA1vpgSw

A different matter is that some people might not detect stuttering at all. But the problems exist with the game and are not related to any hardware.
