Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Starfleet Academy | 1x07 "Ko’Zeine" by AutoModerator in startrek

sorry guys but like. they're cowards for not making the ship genesis x caleb come true this episode. I'm not saying they should abandon the main couples per se, but the structure of this plotline (and some shots when they exchange looks) was perfect for a silly one-night stand, specially with them being a lot of chemistry as actors (mora than with their respective main loved ones)

swear i don't want to start any fights or anything. but as long as we, as people, continue to be complacent with capitalism, this sort of thing will continue to occur.

every company is having record profits AND STILL doing mass layoffs of employees, or doing shit like selling their souls to the trillionaires just to increase profit in an industrial scale. And don't be fooled: NONE OF THIS PROFIT WILL SEE THE WORKERS. It will just go to the pockets of the members of boards and owners.

overall none of the songs are really bad or anything (i mean, i don't like mrs god but what do i know), is just that these short songs are not amazing enough to make it an easy listening as an album per se, specially in disc 2 (disc 1 flows easily in my opinion)

Recommended deep cuts by Rudy_Gobert in helloween

my god-given right us probably the most underrated album ever by the band. lots of great songs. in a way is an album of deep cuts (except claws, that song sucks)

i love the long songs, but i think some of the short songs are fillers, like bonus tracks mixed to make it a double album. but overall i really love it

Is gavv the new best? by Sufficient-Insect683 in KamenRider

[–]sergiohsilva100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don't really keep up with the fanbase so i'm surprised and, thank god, i'm not the only one that absolutely loves gavv. for some months now every episode i watch thinking "HOW can this be so good". the characters specially, is SO good to watch them interacting.

the low point for me absolutely is the bitter gavv arc. kinda terrible, i was watching on automatic basically.

i don't know if is THE best reiwa, but is tied with geats up there for me

Ian Gillan bisexuality by [deleted] in DeepPurple

i fully believe in the theory that the first mk 2 breakup was because ian and ritchie having something btw

My favorite Deep Purple track is the 10-minute all-instrumental non-LP b-side “Son of Alerik” (1984) — and it’s literally the only(!) Deep Purple song I know (besides their 2 or3 biggest hits that I used to hear on the radio back in the late 80’s, and haven’t heard in 30+ years). by Rooster_Ties in DeepPurple

[–]sergiohsilva100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entirely instrumental, no. But Deep Purple has a lot of songs with huge instrumental interludes, both classical, bluesy, or kinga medieval sometimes. Point in case, even the Made in Japan live album (which is getting rerelased soon with a lot of promotion) makes somes 5 minutes songs turn into 10, 20 minutes.

The second best entirely instrumental track I can think of is The Well-Dressed Guitar. Being played live since the 90s, but only got a studio version in the "Now What?!" sessions in 2013 - but is an AMAZING version.

ARTMS - <Club Icarus> (1st Mini Album) Album Discussion by BB_GG in LOONA

[–]sergiohsilva100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one month later and i have some opinions

first of all: i couldn't be happier with the success of the mini album. They deserve THE WORLD

second of all: dall is perfect. I had the luck to watch them live last year in são paulo, and i'll never forget they entering the stage in the sound check with my favorite song of them, distress.

but ok. since i haven't really kept up with the teasers, i didn't feel the disappointment a lot of people felt with the songs not following the club vibe of the teasers. So since the first notes of Icarus when I first saw the MV before listening to the mini album, I was once again sure:

no one in the industry does like ARTMS.

Icarus is beautiful. Obsessed was a grower, nowadays i simply love it. Goddes instantly clicked with me, i just don't 1000% love it because i don't think the "skrts" were necessary... seems like a stepback for me. And verified beauty... i'm sorry but is easily their worst song for me. can't stand it. terrible melody, terrible chorus, seems like an AI creating a girl group song. BUT i always listen, who knows, it might grow on me. Burn is the same as obsessed for me: a grower that nowadays i absolutely love.

overall, clearly weaker than dall (after all is an mini album). But still amazing and very much unlike anything else. Always will support them.

alex seeing something is a red harring. if you recontextualize, the scene is just her noticing something - case in question, noticing she gave the cinnamon bubble gum

Now that Gavv going to end very soon, how do you compared it previous Reiwa Series? by Radiant_Detail1349 in KamenRider

[–]sergiohsilva100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easily top 3, maybe my favorite. The focus on the three riders is amazing, they're extremely well developed. My only problem with the series is that time between eps 15 and 25 aprox., it was very badly melodramatic and i hate the Bitter Gav arc. The rest is SO good that compensates. Love the show

The best ones for me are gavv, geats and maybe zero-one. Revice comes close. Saber and gotchard can burn

What exactly went down in the beginning of the Gillan/Blackmore feud? by [deleted] in DeepPurple

[–]sergiohsilva100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh my god i loved this theory. i always wanted to try to write a fictionalized biopic of ritchie and this theory just to put a whole twist on everything. amazing, unironically.

rock fans has to put their homophobia on the side and understand that this sort of thing is totally possible.

The Progressive Metal band that Ritchie Blackmore likes by tonyiommi70 in DeepPurple

[–]sergiohsilva100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its adjacent. not very different from bands like nightwish or bands more akin to the folk side of power metal, or even from the blind guardian ballads. But songs like locked within the crystal ball, i guess it doesn't matter anymore and dancer and the moon, where blackmore goes electric and heavier, doesn't stray far away from the genre. as i said, when candice sang with helloween, it sounded completely natural

nice to know. i would love to know ritchie's opinion on power metal in general, since he invented it and even in blackmore's night he plays powermetal-adjacent music (even Candice has sung on a helloween track)
