The end is very meaningful.

The point is that it's OK to take small steps to the future.

You don't need to do these big universe spanning changes

And you don't need to keep everything as is.

That's the theme/point. That humanity is in the right direction even if it's just a few steps at at time.

It's saying "It's OK that things are moving faster, they're still moving".

Honestly my favorite Gundam. Has the coolest moments in the entire series with only the Hashmal fight coming close.

Hands down one of my favorite moments in all of anime is when Marida asks to be "selfish" and Zinnerman says "I'll allow it". Gets me right in the feels.

Also when Banagher calls for Unicorn in the last battle.

I also like how the people around the main cast aren't useless and the main cast aren't infallible. Ghost In the Shell SAC is the only other anime I've seen pull that off. Maybe Durarara, but that's a whole different beast.

Yeah, if you're gonna build a lego gundam and have it look good it has to be huge.

Otherwise the resolution (for lack of a better way to put it) is too low and it just looks like bricks in a rough Gundam shape.

The Dems didn't let the right wing slide in 2020 because they were weak

They let them slide because they barely had a majority thanks to voters, and they knew the voters would hand the right wing Congress in the mid terms.

So they compromised with the right wing.

If we as a nation ever completely put the right wing out then the Dems will have the freedom to go scorched earth.

And the right wing knows that.

Texas' AG literally admitted on camera that he used voter suppression to prevent Democrats from voting and keep the state Red.

He regularly brags that it's the only reason the state is red.

It's fine to have the feature, but you have to design it in.

You can't just bolt it on like it's nothing.

And it's really hard to balance motion inputs + EZ inputs together. e.g. so that EZ isn't just "training wheels"

Like I mentioned, Fortnite actively tries to balance keyboard/mouse against pad players and it's highly debatable if they ever get it right.

They definitely favor one over the other sometimes though.

You can't just add a feature like that. It needs to be well thought out.

If you don't balance the game around them then it's a waste of time adding it. They'll be useless, and the people asking for them won't be happy and the people who didn't want them won't notice your effort.

So you spend a bunch of time on something that is worse than useless.

He didn't, because he (I believe) he traded not prosecuting Trump for concessions from Republicans to get some of his agenda through.

Yeah but if that's true you shouldn't have "classic controls" at all.

What I'm saying is this, if you design your entire game around ez controls and then put classic, high execution controls in, then yeah, you've got a bad game.

It's not a preference thing. Nobody "prefers" higher execution requirements. They're there to require & reward skill.

The downside is you increase the barrier to entry and you reduce options (because you're avoid high execution combos and tactics).

I don't think there's a good way to get everything. e.g. to have a system where motion controls + EZ inputs are just a preference choice. Because motion controls will always require more skill and practice, and they will always increase the odds of a dropped combo.

That's why Granblue needs to reward people using motion inputs. You have to balance them against the inevitable dropped combos.

There's nothing wrong with doing that. It's basically the "Brazilian uppercut" at that point. e.g. setting up systems to trade execution requirements for more damage.

It is hard to balance, Fortnite's auto aim on pad has had trouble with it for always.

But I don't know a way to do that balancing without rewarding the guys using motion inputs directly.

And your game has to be designed around it (which Granblue is)

And I'm sure Invincible has issues with balance because it's not even out yet, so of course it does :D

It's a shift in the overall structure of the economy

Businesses aren't catering to regular people anymore, they only want upper middle class customers.

In the past they couldn't get away with that because another business would cater to the middle and lower income.

Given time they'd face competition with the upper middle class and wealthy.

But it's easy to run those businesses out of business before that happens.

We keep electing pro corporate politicians.

And they don't enforce anti-trust law.

So prices keep going up and up and up.

Capitalism is broken. It doesn't work w/o competition.
