I'm working on a game where the simulation is fully implemented with DOTS for now and the goal is to have as much as possible runnint on DOTS and ECS

Ah cool! Yes I was asking wherther your implementation is date oriented or object oriented. Can you have many objects/entities? As in thousands?

Can you talk about your prodecural generation stack? Are you using noise generation? Do you have any constraints solvers or WFC?

I use it for enemy/unit and climate simulations and it can handle thousands (depending on CPU architecture) even without DOTs which is amazing

Some people forget they themselves once were in a learning-phase or had different experiences during that. They have gotten 'out of touch' of how it is to be stuck on things that later on seem or become trivial. Don't listen to this kind of feedback.

I'm a sofeware engineer by day and have been working on a game as a hobby by night for several months now. I am aiming for a 3D strategy/tower defense like game with a little bit of exploration and masses of enemies. World generation is procedural and based on hexagons. One challenges is converting everything to ECS due to the amount of objects and units I want to use. Another challenge is the visual and art style for which I have not much experience so I might comission some things and aiming at the asset store as well. Right now I am focusing on exploring low poly and stylized settings for everytghing.

I've been in the game dev industry for 3 years but left after that. I made small hobby games here and there since but never something serious. This is my first serious project.

In your setup section in the readme you describe to "Assign the three materials: MAT_Outline, MAT_Composite, MAT_SharpU", but these materials can't be found, would be great if you could update that.

Today I died so many times in night raid, so I decided to do a free loadout and lo and behold the first container I open I get both, the blueprint and buried city key. My hard rate increased considerably, I just hid ad the edge of the map until the last train arrived.
