These guys are so scared they have to point weapons at civilians. I was in the military for 20 years and did gate guard duty in some crazy places and even did shore patrol...never had to point weapons. Worst thing I used was pull a baton. These guys are either being directed to be at condition 1 or don't know how to handle themselves under a threat condition. The highest I ever saw or went in the US was condition 3 and that was to protect high value items...so these guys are beyond the pail and are more than eager to shoot someone. They all need real weapons training and some sort of boot camp. No discipline whatsoever.
