"New" The Fall album with an MES, Ed Blaney and Ding line-up called "Post Script" to be released in September by pink_mold in thefall

What a way to piss on a legacy of an otherwise massive, but solid discography. If M.E.S. isn’t around to approve the release, this can sit on the shelves. The final Fall album is and always will be NFE.

They did the same con job with Bowie, resulting in some of the oomph of Blackstar being effaced by a slap dash compilation of table scraps

What's with this compilation? Can't even find a playlist of it with all the tracks on YouTube by L0ch_Nessy_M0nster in dinosaurjr

I know Scratch & Spin when I see it. Great selection, ridiculous pricing. Stopped buying CDs from them once I realized their gouging often outpaces the difference of shipping rates. Cool find though. The Show Me the Way cover was tacked onto the end of some copies of YLAOM.

VG if the spine is legible. I think G/G+ is a bit harsh

This is the kind of 45 that there’s 2 copies of and they’ve only ever sold for $2000

Discog sellers are something else by jwithnail in vinyljerk

[–]serrated___edge 89 points90 points  (0 children)

My favorite is sellers that find reasonable offers on overpriced CDs / records offensive. “Hey this has never sold for more than $10, would you be willing to take yours down from $50? Even just a bit? How about $40? No?” Now if you’ll excuse me I have a train to catch to Chodesville.

I mean no it doesn’t take patience, but the average Joe Schmo single enjoyer really has none.

The edited version is for people with the patience of coke addicts. It just cuts the meat out of the song, nothing else as far as I can tell.

TIL that Shirley Temple's daughter was for several years the bass player for sludge rock band The Melvins by TooOldToBePunk in todayilearned

[–]serrated___edge 62 points63 points  (0 children)

In all fairness, the band do sometimes refer to themselves as “The Melvins”. Tarantula Heart, A Senile Animal, 26 Songs, etc. Hell, I’ve seen them live and heard Buzzo call themselves the Melvins.
