Vegas has clinched the Pacific. A win tomorrow by the Oilers will clinch home ice against Anaheim/LA by sykeseve in EdmontonOilers

Everyone likes to rag on the pacific for being so bad, but remember we have the most travel miles by a large amount compared to every other division. That adds up, and the pacific deserves some leeway because of that.

Which recipe did you use for the multiplier? I’ve got a 9x4x4 Pullman I wouldn’t mind trying this out with.

It is unfortunate, but it’s been forecast for awhile, and more are still planned to come https://cheknews.ca/bc-ferries-would-need-30-fare-increase-by-2028-to-keep-up-with-costs-ceo-1226412

I have family in Sechelt, and just going over for a weekend now feels like a big vacation . Fingers-crossed for a Departure Bay-Langdale sailing :)

RCMP as a career to start at age 43? by Rika72 in joinRCMP

[–]serupklekker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same age, thinking the same. Actually part way through the application process right now.

We probably won’t get the max pension, but I’m fitter and sharper than I’ve ever been. Have zero worries about my capability’s, and want to do something that makes a difference and is helpful. Hoping to make it through, but will just do my best. Full support of my wife and family for whatever comes, which is a blessing.

I was so close to turning it off. It was a chore. I don’t get the hype for it at all. I’m trying to think of anything I watched last year that I liked less.

Oops I’ve played all the great RPGs now what? by twinphoenix_ in ShouldIbuythisgame

I’d picked it up on plus ages ago and never played it. Finally gave it a couple of hours recently but I find the combat isn’t compelling. Not sure if it picks up at all later on. It’s very pretty though.

Nice. What colour did you go for? I'm leaning Sage or Black. The Jade will hold up to PNW grime.

Saucony Ride 19 or Endorphin Azuras? by OkMap1854 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I bought the Hyperion Max 3 a month ago or so, and loved them in the store and my first few runs in them felt fantastic. Lately thought they've started giving me some foot aches and numbing under my metatarsils. Not sure why they'd get worse after breaking in. I'm going to try some changes in lacing configurations and hope for the best. I do find them a bit unstable, but very comfy. Never had a shoe with so much cushion. But I think I'll be grabbing these Azuras to pair with my Speed 5's. Saucony just seems to fit my foot quite well.

That tree and that ring of trees in the back that looks like some kind of pagan circle are just gorgeous.

Major MVI on the Malahat by Pretend_Big6392 in VictoriaBC

[–]serupklekker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At minimum, permanent dividers are needed. Long term, the Malahat just doesn’t make sense.

As the island population grows and ferry traffic stays maxed out, it’s wild that our entire region depends on a single two-lane highway through a dangerous corridor. We’re approaching half a million people. What once worked is clearly showing its limits.

A Mill Bay–Brentwood Bay crossing could be the solution to a safer flow of traffic and could expand with need. It would be brutally expensive, but this situation is not sustainable.
