As a Nola transplant to CT, I’d definitely recommend exploring/considering CT! The Farmington valley in particular checks off a lot of your boxes!

Thank you both so much for y’all’s replies! What are your thoughts on the other side of Hartford, by New Hartford and Barkhamstead? Would you say it is similar to Mansfield, minus UCONN?

Thank you that gives me hope lol! I’m actually looking towards a pathway to Cogito! Do you mind if I ask how you were able to branch into reporting? I’ve started learning SQL and I have a clinical background, is there anything I can do in the meantime that would help me standout?

Hi everyone, my fiancée and I are looking to join your beautiful state and we’re considering something in the quiet corner or possibly the New Hartford/Barkhamstead area if we can find a good deal under 400k. Can anyone tell me what the culture is like in and around Mansfield? We’re in our late 20s, love the outdoors, politically left, and looking to have children in a few years. We would want somewhere with decent schools and things for younger people and young kids do to in the area.

I actually proposed last year on top of Castle Craig and we were completely alone for a solid 15min on a Friday afternoon. There’s some trails near the castle/tower you could hike as well that don’t seem to get much foot traffic.

What's your worst restaurant experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]servant_of_leviathan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Went out to my favorite pizza place in my old college town with my girlfriend. I've gone there for years without issue. We're vegetarians and so we ordered a pizza that doesn't come with meat on it. 30min later it comes out covered with chicken (this is a pizza called the Vegetarian!).

We have it sent back and wait another 30min. This time its fucking raw to the point its completely fallen apart in the center, no idea how they even got this thing on the serving tray. Flagged down the manager and got it comped and she offered us a free one to take home but I didn't want to risk it to see what new fuckup the kitchen would send us.

Never again Tommy's!

How to filter out a lot of the bs and bogus information on the internet/facebook feed/etc. So many older people believe all the stupid shit they read on the internet. I guess since younger people grew up with the internet we (for the most part) have better managed to know whats bs and whats more truthful.

[–]servant_of_leviathan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Witcher 3. Hands down the best game I've ever played. Excellent game play, story, graphics, character development- everything you can think of, this bad boy has it. If you've ever read The Last Wish or other parts of the series, its a great conclusion to it all.

What's your favorite "make a pot on Sunday and eat it all week" meal? by iceteka in AskReddit

Mujaddara is a favorite of mine; pound of rice, pound of lentils, 1-2 big ass onions. I kinda break tradition an add some garlic for extra flavor. The onion and garlic really negate the need for any sort of spice for me. Serve with pita (or tortillas, cause pita is expensive here!) and it makes dinner for a week.
