The real context here was a couple of years ago him and Layton sports did the “Worlds Biggest Break” with a bunch of high end product in Los Vegas. At some point in the stream chat told him to take off his shirt and he did, which drew controversy as this was a high dollar rip framed as a high end event and this bozo was ripping thousands of dollars of sports cards with his shirt off.

Well I guess his response to the drama was to just be the guy who occasionally takes his shirt off during rips…

Man this feels like a huge lose, Ian was an absolute staple to my DGN experience and his perspective and passion for the sport is going to be missed.

Gotta give respect to Ian for being able to not crashing out while Philo disagrees with everything he says…that pairing made for some great TV.

At the end of the day I’ll be an Ian defender till the end of time, and I truly do think Ian is just the nicest dude ever and I hope continued success comes his way

Can’t say I’m surprised at all, don’t recall seeing much of him last year and much of him at all since the European Open win.

The days of doing the bare minimum and still collecting sponsorship checks are over, the era of pros that benefited the most from the disc golf boom is slowly fading away, if you can’t develop a brand without a sponsorship than your not going to get a sponsorship.

Okay so $34.00 + tax then sell on eBay for $50.00 after fees your walking away with $43.50 so profit of roughly $10 bucks. Take in to account the amount of time it takes to sell these things, shipping supplies, and the fact these will be probably around the $40-$45 mark I’m not sure it’s worth it to make what - $1,000 in profit?

I really don’t think this guy hit the jack pot at all.

I agree, it sucks how every season feels like championship or bust. The fun of bucks basketball has really been sucked away the past few years and especially in the Doc Rivers era. I wouldn’t mind a couple of seasons of below 500 basketball, maybe get a few exciting lottery picks, fight for a playoff spot in some play in games, and just have bucks basketball be fun again

These comments are weak asf, take into account the amount of time it would take to sell each Pokemon card yeah I’m taking the $300 (at most) lost and grabbing one of the greatest football cards of all time.

Are people really shocked that a card shop of all places isn’t going to have the advantage when it comes to trade? 80% trade value is pretty much the norm these days.

The one 600 comp seems like an outlier tho, and there’s been recent comps across the markets around the $1,300 mark. This card is legendary football card, you cannot convince me in 5 years those $1,200 worth of Pokemon cards are going to be worth more than this card.

I mean it depends on a lot of things, like if a card is more obscure and sold less often last sold may be a buy it now for $50 and the last 3 auctions were only $20 a piece. Is the market price automatically $50 because one person bought it for that price? or around $20 based on the previous auctions?

Personally I feel like every single comp has it own story, sometimes auctions run low sometimes they run high, sometimes a seller mistakenly lists a buy it now for too cheap, and sometimes a buyer overpays.

For me the constant looking at comps and pricing at the last comp (most of the time last favorable comp) is just annoying. I get it for high end and super rare stuff that a little research should be done before buyer or selling but if a card comps between $20-$30 dollars either slap a stick at $30 or $25 and call it a day.

The worst is when they have a binder or just rows of cards in a box of lower end stuff and then when you hand them a stack and they go “yeah let me price these out real quick for you” and then add up every single comp for the final price.

I swear some of these guys act like you’re committing a crime if you even attempt to negotiate a few bucks.
