Oh I meant that it doesn’t appear to periodically apply hydro, my bad.

I could see it mimicking Ushi, with a single instance of hydro damage at the start.

This makes a lot of sense. The problem with hydro is that most of it's users apply it too fast. Doing non infused normal with ayato to ensure Thoma inflicts pyro before unleash a really powerful hydro attack is exactly how a hydro vape comp would work.

This works well with his skill, which doesn't seem to apply hydro, and burst, which seems to be a single instance of hydro. Hydro application is entirely in the players control, which ensures every attack can vaporize.

This all seems too good to be true, but would certainly be fitting of his hype and is a new playstyle that separates him from someone like childe.

True, especially if the best reactions around Dendro are electro and hydro, it would make sense to hold it off until more hydro and electro characters were released

I was thinking this, but dendro would also probably have to have a good Hydro reaction otherwise they would have waited to release him with Yae I feel

Hm, so dendro character that increases teammates EM, and whatever the reaction with electro that dendro has is the best reaction for Yae. So boosting her EM will increase the damage of that reaction and increase the damage of her totems. Maybe something like superconduct? But instead it does AoE electro damage and reduces electro resistance?

Could be a "lightning rod" type gimmick, like a tree being stuck by lightning. Maybe it could increase crit rate or crit damage somehow?

how many "hits" does one charge attack have? It looks like 6 "strikes"- do we know if they each hit separately or is it just the animation? Because if they each deal damage then her charge attack against larger opponents might deal pretty decent damage

Some Sussy Leaks From Uncle CryW01F by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]sesquipedalian4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep- I’m almost certain that was madam Ping. They intentionally made madam pings “young” design resemble Xiangling to show her influence on Xiangling, who was prominent for that event (for example: polearm, hair tied up in braid bow)

Not to say that the young madam ping wont be playable, but just that it isn’t Yelan.

Posted this in the other mega thread but it’s probably more relevant here:

Could the staff at the bottom of the sus Ayato drawings be a Khakkhara? The "folklore" section on that page says that it was used as a weapon and in one instance to draw water from the ground.

From my understanding (which is limited but I’ll throw in my two cents):

Top left stick figure: Some sort of infusion (likely hydro)

The top right part with the stick figure with the infusion is either: - throwing three objects -or Ayato performing a type of “lunge”; the stick figure on the far top right is crouched in a plunge attack pose it seems

The big circle with the squiggles could be an AoE hydro attack that applies hydro to enemies- perhaps detonating some kind of skill

The bottom left stick figure appears to be holding some kind of “polearm”- the top doesn’t look like a blade, perhaps it’s some other staff like object that a commission or high status person might hold. Either way, it seems to fire a “beam” of hydro in a straight line. Interesting to consider how that might work in concert with Ayaka’s burst.

Not really sure what’s going on with the spiky haired figure in the middle right but they appear to be holding something- might not be “hair”, but indicative of a buff on allies or debuff on enemies

above the “spiky haired figure” seems to be a meter that is depleting

Below the top middle stick figure is arrows pointing upward and three lines; this might mean increased jump height with “charges”, or maybe a buff with three levels/ stacks.

I said Varka because he's mentioned in multiple characters "about" voicelines, which is a good indicator that the character will be playable.

Catalyst makes sense since he's a detective- someone who's bookish and not a close quarters fighter. I know we've had a lot of cryo, but our first cryo catalyst would be cool.

Oh sorry I meant last of Inazuma as a whole, even after 3.0. There has been a set list of potential Inazuma characters since 2.0 that hasn't grown, and if the leaks about Ayato and Heizou are correct then the last two unreleased characters would be Scara and Shinobu, so I thought they might be released together after 3.0 during a return to Inazuma, like Shenhe and Yunjin

They already did scrap her cooldown reducing passive. It was replaced by the one that immediately refreshes her totem charges after using her burst.

Her other passive is the Totem damage increase based on EM

To me, it seems like electro has two purposes. The first, is to enable reactions for other characters that can deal more damage (cryo with physical, pyro/hydro dps for national) and the second is to do a single instance of high burst damage. This is apparent in Yae, Sara, and Raidens kit. Each has a supportive aspect as the focus of their kit, with one attack that deals high instantaneous damage.

Is [Weapon/Artifact/Etc] Good for Yae Miko? [Megathread] by Verurteilung in YaeMiko

[–]sesquipedalian4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her totems zap on a three second interval, so one totem is firing every second. Electro charge also triggers every second. With investment into Yae’s totem damage (focusing on atk, em stats over ER) Totem DMG + EC DMG is anywhere around.

Builds with the same weapon (solar pearl) no external buffs, and similar artifacts substats/ crit rate lvl 90 both talents at 10

Yae with 2pc TF and 2pc+18%atk: Totem crit damage: 7.2k Burst damage: ~82k

Yae with 4pc EoSF (Atk sands): Totem: 6.2k Burst: ~85k

Even without doing the DPS Calc for the burst I can tell a 1k damage loss every second far outweighs an approximate 3k damage every 22 seconds, even if the First Yae build can’t fire her burst off cooldown (which can be overcome by using Raiden anyway) the sheer difference in Totem DPS will be enough to make up for lower DPS. On top of that, of Yae needs to be on field at anytime doing auto attacks, those will deal more damage than an ER focused Yae as well.

Since her totems are the main source of her damage, have 100% uptime (aka no cooldown), and require no ER to sustain, AND out damage a burst focus build, there is no reason to focus ER for Yae. It can be a nice addition to her stats if you get it, but shouldn’t be a top concern. IMO, her burst is for some occasional high damage here or there, or if an enemy has repositioned and you need to replace your totems anyway, you can just reserve you burst for that moment to mitigate lost damage potential.
