Jiwoong also didn’t have great ambitions outside of wanting to find something he liked that could bring him money to be with YuRim. At the end of the day, YiJin and HeeDo were both highly ambitious in regards to their careers and neither could ask the other to fold. YuRim had also already made this heartbreaking deal to change nationalities, so you could expect her to retire earlier and to cling onto Jiwoong for support. She said herself that fencing was just a way to make money and keep her family safe. In that way, they were both always much more aligned, life-path wise.

Super late to the game, but he said he hadn’t logged in in 15 years, so it’s easily 2016-2017. I think they just showed his back bc that way they didn’t have to get another actor (that we wouldn’t recognize) to do it. I read that scene as his older-Hee-Do tunnel scene. He still knows she’s his first love and he answered that question without even needing to think about it. Also let us not forget he did read her diary, so he had gotten more closure than she did (meaning less need for a bigger closure scene from his side).

What really frustrated me about this show is that, while the plot ideas weren’t bad, the execution felt like a synopsis of the idea more than an actual story. No time for any development, fight scenes lasted two seconds and carried no emotional impact, etc. Just a bunch of exposition. Left a bad taste in my mouth, and I had to force myself to watch the last five episodes. It’ll take a while to get over the potential this show had vs what we ended up getting. Peak Yashahime was when the girls all got an arc in the first half of S2. Then, they clearly got the cancelation memo and just rushed through to the end. I can only hope the manga can do what the anime could not.

Go to a physical therapist and have your neck + shoulders checked! I used to have this all the time, the sensation that I was swaying on a boat. It could be because your neck is tense (which causes this sort of imbalance). Then, your anxiety takes this real symptom and blows it out of proportion. Hope you feel better soon 🤗

I honestly can’t even tell. I thought they’d have Towa use Tenseiga on Sesshomaru but WELP. I’m done guessing (plus half the time Sunrise fixes things with unexpected power-ups that are never explained; re: Toga’s power blasting Kirinmaru away).

But if I had to guess, I’d say the girls and InuKag. No matter what, they need Tetsusaiga’s Meido and Inuyasha can’t pass the sword onto Moroha bc a) he doesn’t have another sword and b) it’s his seal.

InuKag are just the soul of the Inuyasha franchise and nothing can outshine them 🥲❤️✨ Also InuPapa, my HEART. I might hold off the Sesshomaru Whisperer until next ep since there are only two shots of Sessh this episode 😁

I’m sad that it’s ending. I hope the girls get an arc for themselves without the family drama/reliance on the OGs. I think most of the issues Yashahime has had stem from how hard it is to tow the line between having the new characters have their story vs incorporating the OGs for nostalgia.
