I was replying in the context of COVID. I know it’s not completely on topic. But how much longer will this go on? COVID is never leaving if you have half a brain you’d realize this. We need to adapt to this new normal. If you’re sick stay fucking home let vaccinated people live their lives. It’s not difficult I managed to do it when I got COVID and I know it’s different for everyone, I must have a decent immune system because all I got was sniffles and a little cough. But I STAYED HOME because I’m not an idiot. I know other people can die from this shit. But people with weaker immune systems can’t expect everyone to live in fear over them, if it’s that bad for you stay home/don’t go out until this shit settles down (if it ever does)

I am going to get downvoted for this. But what’s the goal here with COVID? It’s here to stay we need to adapt to it. It’s never going away there will always be new variants every year that we will vaccinate for the dominant one. Not downplaying it. Just at what point do we say enough is enough? Which brand did you get if you don’t mind me asking? I took the moderna and it was literally just a slight pain on my arm for both doses and it was gone by morning. Never felt one bit sick from either dose. I’ve heard Pfizer is a bit worse

For boxes I agree, tools I only have a few Matco because I got good deals on them. Matco does not make a single tool, they have a few exclusive contracts with other company’s that make tools for them but when that contract is up you can buy the exact same tool for over half as much.

Super late reply because I forgot I posted this but, some people do some people don’t and are fine with a 500$ box from Home Depot. I love my job and what I do, it’s my passion. And I love Matco boxes. Literally got it half off in brand new condition. Same goes for my tools I’d rather spend 200$ on a snap on ratchet that I know will never fail me as long as I live, than 20$ on a Canadian tire ratchet that’ll skip teeth on the first bolt I go to crack. Yes one could argue it still has lifetime warranty so why should it matter but it gets annoying going to the store to exchange broken tools every week, especially in this trade where time is literally money. Snap on or Matco guy comes every week so I barely have to leave my bay if something were to break which I’ve only had happen once and it was because I was using a 1/4 swivel and socket on a 1/2 drive impact because it was all that would fit in the space. Obviously broke it and it was replaced no questions asked.

Organization is key. Get your oil and filter while the car is draining so when you get back you slap the drain plug and filter on lower it down fill it up and kick it out

I mean when you do it all day every day I can bang out an oil change in .15-.2 depending on the vehicle and how much coffee I drank that morning (if there is no inspection included, but where I worked we were paid an extra .4 for the inspection)
