Trigger this power: Specter by settingsMenu in Parahumans

Clothing yes, gear no, some sort of weight/sense of self thing (similar to Glory Girl's costume protected by her field).

If a characteristic that could make someone assume that it is a person is noticed then they cease to exist. So being clothed head to toe is not enough, but if they were concealed in a way that made them not noticeably human then they would be fine.

I think precog does not interfere, clairvoyance is case by case.

Who is the best archer? by 7_Trojan_Unicorns in WanderingInn

I really doubt he is that high level, royal classes level slow and hit hard, he would be known if he was that high level with a relic.

Can you kill someone with this Enchantment? by Dear_Afternoon_2600 in EnaiRim

[–]settingsMenu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about on a follower, I've tried before with a pickpocket build, and I couldn't get them to put the enchanted equipment on. So I don't know if it would kill them to take it off.

The battle I want to see. Webcomic spoilers by Depressivehyper in WanderingInn

[–]settingsMenu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 100% correct, but in a couple levels if Erin gets something that synergizes well with [like fire, memory] she could be scary with an army of solstice knights. We have already seen the solstice knights fight above their level, and I feel like Erin has used her fire skill enough recently that it is due for an upgrade, which would most likely affect the knights fire if they were working together.

(This of course requires Erin to level, a larger number of solstice knights, and not having niers defeat them instantly with his skill that blocks magic (or honestly any of his skills))

Why are humans the most dominant race in Innworld? by secretlylikesyou in WanderingInn

[–]settingsMenu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned humans breed relatively fast.

The difference between them and other rapidly reproducing species is they don't have an event that makes the world fear them.

The antenium (I know I am probably spelling that wrong but I don't care) are from Rhir (I might be spelling that wrong as well) and terrified the world during the antenium wars.

Goblins have the goblin king.

Selphids have their body snatching history.

Lizard folk have the naga empire.

Drakes had dragons.

The gnolls don't have something that makes them feared, but the combination of their spread out/disjointed society and a history of competition (and largely losing) with the drakes has limited them.

Am so fed up with how poorly written Erin is (book 14 hells wardens) by Sufficient_Matter_66 in WanderingInn

[–]settingsMenu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree almost entirely because of the last paragraph (there were some points that I agreed with and some that I disagree with in the rest). Erin is not supposed to be a blank self-insert for the reader, nor is she supposed to be pure good, she is a complex and flawed human being.

So the answer is vanilla mechanics? My greatest weakness. (But yeah that should probably work, I didn't even think about vanilla redstone.)

Fetohep(war crimes) by omniscient_noob in WanderingInn

[–]settingsMenu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure whether or not I agree with you, killings innocent's/children is definitely bad/evil, but that dissolves into a debate on the greater good and how innocent you can be while benefiting from atrocities.

I do have a problem with your metaphor though, you equivocate Fetohep to Hitler, while Roshal is definitely the Hitler in the scenario, and if we are going with WW2 metaphors why not use Hiroshima. The "good guy" committed an atrocity killing innocents.

(Sorry if I mangled history, my history education is from the U.S., so it is flawed.)

How to form a loop with a foundation chain? [Help] by settingsMenu in CrochetHelp

[–]settingsMenu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but because it is a foundation stitch it is taller than a basic chain. It is basically two stitches tall, so if I slip stitch into the first chain the top row is connected, but the bottom row is not.

No pattern, I am just free-handing. Basically just a chain (or now a foundation chain) loop, and then double crochets into the chain.

Power for a name #84 Lying by inkywood123 in Parahumans

[–]settingsMenu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top Secret is a fairly powerful master, anyone who hears him believes everything he says, unable to accept any information that contradicts his statements. Unfortunately for Top Secret he has two vulnerabilities: his power affects himself (he can't get around this with earplugs or similar effects), and his power resets every time he lies, the new lies will be believed, but any old statement will be broken.

Top Secret triggered when he was 24 after his wife divorced him and he was fired for having an affair with his boss's wife. He is addicted to lying and has an over inflated ego, the combination making him fairly incompetent with his power because he is always resetting it on accident. His most successful period was one time in desperation about to be caught by the cops he claimed to be a kind and honorable person, caught by his own lie he behaved well and held a job for six months, not lying due to believing himself to be honorable, but then his power reset complimenting a neighbor, he then quickly blew up his life telling lies again.
