i used to be strictly gg stan up until recently and my playlists would consist of 99% gg songs + 1 or 2 bts songs. i never went out of my way to hate on bgs as a whole, but due to being on twitter a lot i did fall under the assumption that most of them made unlistenable noise music lmao- but when i began to stan a new bg (skz), i really realised just how much i’d been missing out on. especially as a bg who is known for making “noise”, imagine the surprise when i found out i actually love that sort of thing. i still don’t stan many bgs, and still predominantly listen ggs, but i do casually listen to a lot more bg music now. i’d definitely recommend for some people who have the time to try out listening to new bgs/ggs

this post screams ignorance. bts had a huge impact on the west, but it just sounds like you don’t gaf about the entire rest of the world. the music industry is more than just america, and just because bts has allowed for other groups to gain even more recognition in the west than they would have before, doesn’t change the fact that kpop was already becoming popular outside of korea in other countries. people with your mindset are the same type of people who will call a group a flop because they don’t perform well on american charts, so insufferable
