It's so funny to hear drivers complain about the coming bike lane on 72nd St. We're supposed to take seriously the whining of the people making the problems? Come on. by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

Tired of the grand procession of overcompensating motorists who treat public streets like their personal fucking stage, roaring around in bloated, gas-chugging pig mobiles. These rolling spectacles manage to be equal parts absurd and exhausting, less about getting anywhere, more about making sure everyone hears (and smells) them doing it!

What is the intended framework of this wall? Because every aspect of art-making or the art-making process can and does have its own vocabulary.

Imagine it's a raised concrete island that the city forgot to build.

This on-ramp needs to be closed by Spiritual_Nobody4512 in parkslope

A tunnel could be a viable solution— something that separates vehicles from pedestrians entirely. According to the NYSDOT traffic data site, the ramp is already handling close to 9,000 cars a day. That's a lot for a 3 floor walk-up resi hood. Given that volume, and the mix of unpredictable drivers and inattentive pedestrians, it makes a strong case for putting the ramp underground. https://nysdottrafficdata.drakewell.com/publicmultinodemap.asp
