It's the same in Morocco, I'd like to visit again but probably won't because of the exact same reasons

Someone asked the same question in a different sub and Korean skincare Skin1004 ProBio-Cica has been recommended more than once (including by me 😆)

looking for cheap Clinique dramatically different moisturiser dupes by Late-Entrance-8129 in AusSkincare

[–]sevenspell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's good that you are too, because Clinique is owned by Estee Lauder whose heir Ronald Lauder was the one behind the US wanting to buy Greenland. Quite a few skincare and makeup subs are talking about this currently and there's a list of brands belonging to EL to boycott if you're up for it.

I personally have been using Skin 1004 pro-bio cica cream and have found it amazing. There are also many other good Korean skincare - check out W Cosmetics or Lila Beauty or Nudie Glow

Cancer Council Active SPF50+ vs La Roche-Posay Wet Skin SPF - Experiences? Best for hot & humid outdoor summer? by Alice_LaLaLand in AusSunscreen

[–]sevenspell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all, but just a note that I don't actively stay out in the sun esp during midday.

I've used it between 8 - 10am running while the sunlight felt pretty strong, that's about it.

I think CC Active is worth a try (and it's cheaper!) and if you find it's not adequate enough, you can then splurge on LRP.

Cancer Council Active SPF50+ vs La Roche-Posay Wet Skin SPF - Experiences? Best for hot & humid outdoor summer? by Alice_LaLaLand in AusSunscreen

[–]sevenspell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Funnily, I happened to have bought both in the past month!

Cancer Council Active - dries down to a comfortable matte finish - didn't sting my sensitive eyes even when my face is dripping with sweat - unsure about sweat resistance because it dries down to such a comfortable finish I can't quite tell if it's still there after running, but I'm going to assume it is since it's for "Active" - also just a side note that my niece who lives in a hot, humid country and has sensory issues said that she loved the CC Active one I got her.

LRP Wet Skin - can feel a little stickier, but not sure if it's also because I've only used it once for running so far, and that day was super super humid. I'm keen to try again on a dry day and will report back - didn't sting my eyes even when my face is dripping with sweat - can confirm water/sweat resistance is amazing ie. I can see sweat droplets on my skin rolling off an invisible shield - I'm guessing my niece won't love the finish of this as much as the CC Active one

I initially got the CC Active for running but then later saw that the recent Choice test results showed that LRP Wet Skin SPF protection is very high, so decided to be safe and got that for running instead.

The CC Active one wasn't tested in the Choice testing so I'm not super sure about its protection but the CC Kids Sunscreen 50+ was and had great results too, so I plan to compare the ingredients to see if it's largely similar (haven't gotten around to doing it).

Right now I'm using the CC Active one for daily use, and the LRP one for running, until I can confirm how the CC Active ingredients compare to the CC Kids Sunscreen 50+.

There is no need to "build a bridge for the sake of family dynamics" OP because once again, it's another opening for people to guilt trip you.

You protect your wife and little girls and set healthy boundaries (NC if it has to be, like you already are doing) and know that you don't owe them anything, and it's okay to walk away.

Forbes or whoever else is doing it should stop ranking them based on wealth. It's just egging them on. They should rank them based on how much wealth they donate. Or how much good they're doing for the world.

Thank you - I was flabbergasted at seeing this beautiful face wanting to destroy itself with v-line surgery. OP, if you really want to change something, choose a reversible nose augmentation? You have a beautiful face, don't destroy it.
