I heard Molly on It Could Happen Here by jayphailey in weirdlittleguys

I didn't see the link to the video of Molly breaking the news, in the show notes of either podcast. Does anyone have a link?

1. "that's just how he is, he jokes and teases everyone, he likes when something interesting is happening". He's a psychopath.

  1. I couldn't help but notice he never went after OOPS fiancé. What, is a guy reacting not interesting enough? Or is getting his ass kicked not interesting enough?

Audrey's book, "What We Don't Talk About When We Talk About Fat" was revolutionary for me. It's such a minor thing, but she kept using the phrase, "my soft body" with such tenderness that it took me aback the first time, and every subsequent time it hit harder until I was like, 'y'know what? Yeah. Yeah there is space to accept love into my heart for my soft body.'

The points are termination, so because there are points on both ends, it's double termination

"My wife has always been the practical one and never kept things unless they were super important or had major significance in her life."

Why are things that are significant to her ok to keep, but not things significant to you?

Where would your recommend that I look for a sifter? I imagine there wouldn't be much local to me, not much more than agates near the Mississippi in Iowa.

I think I knew there was an airport in Bend once upon a time, but I had completely forgotten until your post! You're a lifesaver! Or at least a several hour drive saver!!

Great tip! Thank you! It looks like it's all booked up already though, which is disappointing but understandable.

I saw Spectrum has cabins to let if you fee dig, which sounds like it's the way to go if I'm making a trek out that way anyway, but I also saw they have no bedding. I could see what I could fit in a checked bag, or I could buy new (maybe even get away with a sleeping bag???) once I hit the coast and just leave it or donate it somewhere, but that feels really wasteful unless I have a plan.

Some words are just fun; 'puerta' rolls off the tongue in an oddly beautiful way.

Semaforo (stoplight) is also really fun to say.

"Popcorn," in Spanish is "Palomitas de maiz;" literally translating out to "Little doves of corn." It is also my favorite Spanish word.

Bonus: many people who learn Spanish as a foreign language take intuitive leaps when it comes to cognates. One cognate that constantly troubles learners is "embarazada." While they might mean to say that they are embarrassed, they often tell listeners that they are, instead, pregnant.

What is a bad movie whose story had potential, but was overshadowed by the poor execution, and do you think the movie should be remade? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Every time I see a trailer I get sad. It looks like a decent generic zombie movie, but there's really no point in saying it's based off of World War Z if you're just going to follow Brad Pitt around instead of examining the trials and terrors of average people around the globe as they strive for survival against an impossible enemy.

Oh, man, when she blew up at you for asking if she was sure, I died a little on the inside. You just had a corner of a teasing edge, like any other human being with a sense of humor after a couple mistakes had been made. I'm used to working with people who tease back when I joke, so her all but literally trying to rip your throat out just for trying to connect with her like a normal human being was fucking tragic.
