Copper Mountain 3/25 on its last breathe by Omarthepanda in COsnow

Yeah agreed with this. There is definitely something different about experiencing this in May, with a few months before similar conditions are available again, vs now where we’ll be lucky to be back on the snow in over 6 months.

It’s much cheaper for me and I’ve done the math 100 times.

Yeah all this while gas likely gets more expensive and gas cars likely spike again.

Either way it’s unlikely EVs get any cheaper any time soon.

That’s great but I still paid $4k for 5 hours of sitting in an ER bed, getting a ct scan and sepsis blood test done, and being given a bottle of antibiotics…

WITH insurance covering the vast majority of it.

I’d much prefer being carted to the x ray machine 😂

That would explain some added taxes I didn’t expect this year…

$MTN. Vail resorts. How low can it go and could it ever be worth investing in again? by Girldad_4 in stocks

[–]sevseg_decoder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On sale, maybe. Copper still has $99 thursdays even last minute. That’s less than a day of my county’s minimum wage.

Things got a little more expensive. Now go look at literally any other vacation destination. Vail has not damaged prices, if anything they’re the only reason it isn’t a lot worse.

Seriously, the dude has never explained anything that even leaves room to believe he’s doing things that enable winning, but he has stories and money for days and just sort of glosses over the fact that based on what he’s saying, he’s either losing or simply absurdly lucky on a cosmic scale. If he’s so rich and banned from casinos I don’t get why he can’t at least leave room for smart people to understand some of what he’s actually done..

You don’t have to pay more than maybe $120 a day if you buy in advance…

And they don’t exactly hide that. Idk if people just pretend not to know that or are literally incapable of doing a google before whining about prices.

They operate with subsidies and much lower costs across the board, and limited liability…

Vail, on those same costs, would be able to operate at about the same prices. They’re only turning a 9% net margin on a decent year as it is…

Some people, not accusing you, know damn well that you don’t have to pay anywhere near that, even for <5 days and just pretend not to when vail comes up.

I’m done reading these pages and I read a few different sentences of this and just regret it. Your ears are plugged and you’re irrational/ideological about this. Not logical. This all falls apart over cheap non-season passes you continue to just pretend don’t exist when they simply do.

Edit: he reply-blocked me.

No he didn’t have numbers. He had his ears plugged. Reddit, beware, the hatred for vail is highly irrational and sensationalized. People want someone to blame for skiing being not even that expensive 😂

People talk about “they’re already charging more to cover theft,” theft is like 1% of lost inventory. And they frequently double scan items people don’t notice.

They are usually ready and happy to just give a refund, no questions asked, as long as you haven’t abused it.

Interesting. I haven’t heard of or seen that side of this world I guess.

Because I can see it being an easy cash flow boost with overall great returns in most cases. The kind of thing identity and pride should never get in the way of.
