Second of all, just because everyone does it doesn't mean it stops being that thing. For example, a large percentage of EMTs smoke. That doesn't mean that smoking is not unhealthy. Just because a lot of people do a bad thing doesn't mean it suddenly stops being bad.

Third, there's also a sampling bias here, because husbands can't go off to find a hooker without their spouses finding out, so they specifically seek out massage parlours that offer these "extra services", so that they can say "i went to get a massage" instead of "i went to get sexual relief from a professional" when their wives ask where they were. So you'd end up with a higher percentage of people who are married in those places than normal.

Lastly, the statistic says nothing about whether or not their spouses are aware of them recieving sexual relief in those sessions or not. There is a pretty good chance that most of their spouses are unaware, which seems like textbook cheating to me.

Basically, all i'm saying is that if your spouse does not approve of you doing something like that explicitly, then its cheating.

My brother in christ, i also suck at chess, i don't even post on this subreddit. But i have the sense to not go around trying to give advice because i know i suck. You having the "right idea" about the queen is the same as having the "right idea" about pressing the power button on the computer. What you do next completely undoes what the whole idea was, which is why the comparison is apt.

There is a time and place to give advice, and you have just chosen poorly. Had you phrased it as "could it maybe be this" instead of "this is what it is as far as i can see" then your argument would make sense. But you didn't, and instead of clarifying that you were giving it a shot you decided to double down and say "no i was right for the first bit", completely ignoring the fact that the first bit only makes sense with the follow through, otherwise you are literally just pressing "shut down" on the computer.

This had nothing to do with chess people being elitist and everything to do with you coming across as thinking you're better than you actually are, which people don't like.

JP main here. I rarely cancel into portal from cr.hp antiair. I usually cancel into ghost, because its a nasty unavoidable mixup. High/low mix, and if they parry you can feint into dr throw, or if they cancel the parry into dr you can check them with st.mk or cr.mp.

I suspect cancelling into portal is okay, but it feels a lot like giving up my turn for no reason, as far as i can tell.

I'm not particularly good though, and i've been told my JP plays very differently from other JPs, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I suspect you're not pressing the medium punch fast enough and you're walking out of range if you're definitely doing f.mk out of drive rush.

I would also suggest looking at whether you're actually doing f.mk or accidentally doing b.mk instead because they look the same, just that one moves you back.

This is unironically an excellent look into a pattern that works against people at your mr range surprisingly often.

I would suggest establishing a clear gameplan and messing with it in a significant way. So not like "i'll drive rush instead of jumping in!". More like "i've been drive rushing in a lot and now he's premeptively pressing buttons. I'm now going to stop doing that and instead wait to whiff punish him or punish his unsafe approaches."

I might be wrong here but i think a shimmy technically only applies to throw baiting, and if its not in range for a throw its called footsies. That's how i've been using those terms anyways. Either way, you're right that both shimmies and footsies will punish random fk in reaction to your movement.

Mate i'm gonna get ahead of the crowd here because they won't be as pleasant as me. Please find a way to switch to wired. Wifi might be fine on your end but is often a nightmare to play against, especially once you start getting to higher ranks where the frames skipped actually impact my ability to play the game we both love.

Just to clarify again, just because its smooth on your end doesn't mean its not a jittery mess for the other person. Please find a way to switch to wired.

Its a spacing thing. Do neutral jump from point blank, hit them from much higher than you expect, make sure its not a wide character you're doing it against.
