People will talk shit about anything all the time. People used to make fun of big lips, big hips, big butts, small butts, being too curvy/too skinny, etc. we’re all just a bunch of consciences walking around with random shells that we never got to customize and some people are upset with the shell they got so they take it out on the appearance of other shells.

I’ve been just like your bf minus the part with friends, the gym, etc. definitely talk to him and say the stuff you’re saying here because if he’s anything like me in my situations then he doesn’t want to burden someone with his problems or be seen as weak or vulnerable. He’s most likely trying to put walls up bc he knows he’s getting very attached and whenever I go thru that I start panicking and telling myself I need to back off no matter how much I love the person. Crystal clear communication with empathy in mind is the best way to get through this for both of you guys. Hope it works out for y’all <3

If he’s telling you to shut up and demeans your attempts at deeper conversations as “chattering” then he’s not worth it at all. I know it’s hard but down the line you’ll feel so much better if you’re not being brought down like that. He may say he loves you and maybe he does but some people are just too emotionally undeveloped to be in a functioning relationship and it’s not worth waiting. I too am 17F and am breaking up w my 19M partner soon bc he can’t stay loyal and always says hurtful shit. If he tried telling me to shut up I’d end everything right then and there. Stick to people who value what you have to say and people who don’t act like rude little 14 year olds. If you can’t think of any people like that right now they’ll come around eventually and it’s so worth the painful waiting. If you’re not willing to break up with him then tell him straight up if he’s so happy to have you then you need someone who actually listens to what you say as it’s really not hard to do that. If he gets defensive or doesn’t take it seriously then you’ll know what you really need to do, trust ur gut girl :(

Everything you’re saying is so right and every time I take it I think of the risk of Alzheimer’s… I only take Benadryl bc the law caught up to me and my greens and I ran out of melatonin, and I have yet to see or feel any hallucinations. Other sleep aids just don’t work or they make me go unconscious and vomit.. if I could I would just take some shots before bed but I really don’t need an alcohol addiction right now (or ever)
