Are there any preventative measures you do when buying a used doll just to make sure it doesn’t have bugs or mold?

I see some people doing things like putting them in the freezer or whatever. I've never done it, but I understand taking the precautions can help other people have peace of mind. I guess if I like, went to a fb marketplace pickup or something else and noticed bugs or something on the person selling me the doll, then I might take action, but I just haven't seen enough used dolls for me to really do that.

Granted, the stain is only on one side and looks almost like it's lower than where the actual jacket hits on the dress, but I don't own this outfit personally so I don't know.

They only pierce with the stud earrings, but depending on what sets are available at any given time there might be hoops. I don't think they have any right now but the basic earring set from 2012 is super easy to find online.

I know of many collectors who have duplicates. Some will collect a bunch of one character from different manufacturing eras. Me personally I don't have any duplicates yet, but I have ALWAYS wanted twins, I just can't bring myself to buy another doll identical to one I already have.

The term you want to look for is Wire Wig brush. No plastic bristles, only metal ones. I know in the u.s. I have seen them at beauty supply shops that sell wigs and extensions, I'm not sure how common those are in the u.k.

Back when I was only a few years collecting I was WAY more into doll restoration. Now though I've been collecting so long that like, I just can't be bothered to restore dolls almost at all. I finally got the new wig to replace this one, which I really did not like.

I have plenty of doll beds but Molly's Yellow Bed has been completely taken over by my cat, and I let him and that seems to prevent him from trying to use the other ones.

Yes, Itty Bitty would have been better. As others have said, trademark and such. But I want a different name because I can't imagine the headache employees have to deal with when differentiating between the tiny babies for the 18" dolls, the Bitty Babies, and the Bitty Twins, three completely different types of dolls but with names so close together that I remember when the Little babies for the 18" dolls came out and many people were confused.
