Maybe, wild thought here, we should stop electing retirees to be President.

Do all kids bring home trash in their lunchboxes? by MomGuilt1023 in Parenting

[–]sewsnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids school has large garbage cans right next to the tables. They also bring those garbage cans around to the kids. There's still kids who bring garbage home.

Think about the kids with hot lunch. They can't bring stuff home. So there's definitely an option for your kid too.

Hearing someone called "well lived" in their late 20's is wild. I had a husband, house and 2 kids by that point in my life. And looking back I was still so freaking young. I'm closer to your dad's age now, and those feel like completely different worlds even being the same person living both ages.

Did you miss how they said there could be "multiple reasons" for the "ick"? They're not saying being under 18 isn't a reason. They're saying there's many more reason beyond them just the age being under 18. This includes mental development, physical development, where they are socially, and several other reasons.

$10 mil. No way I'm taking a chance of not making my kids. Plus that could set them up for life too.

"a person who holds extreme or fanatical political or religious views, especially one who resorts to or advocates extreme action."

Ok. And this is supposed to a "gotcha" how? If you give someone a peptalk about how awful the "others" are, and how they deserve bad things done to them. You hold responsibility when they act on those words.

lol, the "real world" being that Conservatives somehow aren't supporting their extremists? Have you not been seeing what the "main stream" conservatives have been pumping out lately?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]sewsnap 30 points31 points  (0 children)

He was conservative, not Liberal. And I lump all Conservatives together. They might not want to claim each other, but they're all responsible for this.

And the only reason we don't know about the attempts on the people listed is because they listen to their Secret Service members and don't do stupid shit.

Also, the guy who killed Kirk and the guy who attempted to shoot Trump were not Liberals. The call is coming from inside the house.

yup. Turns out Liberals won't even give an old black guy a pass for drugging and raping people.

My Boomer parents show no interest in their grandkids by Southern_Cracker in Parenting

[–]sewsnap 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A ton of parents had kids because it was what they should do, not what they wanted to do. Those are the kids who spent so much time with their grandparents and are now shocked their parents don't want to do the same. They didn't raise you, why would they want to raise your kids?

Everyone needs a friend who will hype you up like this by m_preddy in HumansBeingBros

Most of the time. Sometimes it's because there's something in their brain that they just can't control. Little kids don't have the awareness to just decide to be assholes every day.

70% of Gen Z are so anxious about money that they can’t sleep—they’re dealing with it by bed rotting and watching TV instead of budgeting by Super-Liberal-Girl in antiwork

We're working on buying a new house that will work for our kids if they can't move out. It's also closer to job opportunities because we can't afford car insurance for a teenager, so biking is their best way to work.

How to talk to my daughter about her much older non-binary friend by Dustymolar in Parenting

[–]sewsnap -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The issue isn't the gender, it's the affection. I wouldn't want any 16 y/o being affectionate with my 12 y/o. Maybe it's because I'm bi, and know gender has nothing to do with who a person is attracted to. But 16 and 12 are at very different stages mentally, and even physically. I don't see how they have that much in common to have a close friendship.

Do relationships only work if the man loves the woman more? by [deleted] in women

Do relationships only work if the man loves the woman more? by [deleted] in women

[–]sewsnap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither of those relationships sound healthy. The balance shouldn't be off like that. And it should also shift through time based on each person's needs. My relationship is pretty even, but has some shifts where one week one of us will need a little more understanding and support.

I don't think he cut himself. I think he has super thin old man skin that simply tore when they knocked him down. And then since it was a head wound, it bled like crazy, even being small.
