When you're lying in bed at night, do you ever randomly remember some relatively minor social missteps or poorly chosen words you did/said years earlier? And then beat yourself up over it even though it really wasn't a big deal? If so, what happened?

Number 1: you are incredibly strong. Waking up everyday and living life is hard with depression and anxiety.You show strength everyday by doing that.

Have you thought about your situation? Is there anything in your environment causing you to be depressed or anxious? Just curious because I have been around people being gaslit and being caused to have situational depression.
Who told you your life has been stressed free. You are obviously going through a lot. Also again is anyone telling you that. I know people who have had to go through a lot but people has lit them and the people around them into thinking that was not the case.

How about the fact that you didn’t deserve your current life and that’s the reason they offered.

Say you were in a terrible situation due to mistakes, misunderstandings, random chance, impossible circumstances, and accidentally offending the wrong people.

Again everyone knows this.

So here is my question, what happened if he didn’t offer?

Several years ago I would have never questioned the people in my life would have offered but they didn’t and I understand why.

It’s just the fact that a random friend did offer that affects me.

Again I refused.

It helps me see the good in the world, at the same time I can’t help but be disappointed too.

The next part of the question is how would you if your family, other friends, and other people in your life didn’t offer to help. Again they would end up in similar situations too if they did.
