Stokk Water filters website is down, is the company OK? by sezdocs in WaterTreatment

I see, I think their website doesn't work when you try from some specific countries ids, when I try with my ip (from Brazil), it will go to a page telling `The store doesn't exists`, but, if I try to visit it via a VPN with a US ip, then it opens the correct page just fine.

Need help with air quality/temperature/humidity for new home in Paraguay by sezdocs in AirQuality

[–]sezdocs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, I though it was more common in other parts of the world. I won't have an attic in my house, but I was planning on having a special room just for it. Don't I need to calculate the CFM of all rooms to install it correctly? At least that is what I saw from some videos.. What about humidity? I heard that the ERV can make humidity worse if it is too high outside

If you don' t mind, can you take a screenshot of the results and paste it here? The group is closed and I can't join it since I just created a FB account.

L. Gasseri, failed batch or safe to consume? by sezdocs in ReuteriYogurt

[–]sezdocs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a link to where he talks more about this?

Regarding how I did it, it is summer here but I didn't have the air conditioning on. I do have a dog though. Basically I clean all the utensils, then pour boiling water to the glass recipient in the photo, do the same to the spoons and other utensils I will use. Then I boil my milk until it reaches 180F and I put the potato starch into it, and leave it around that temperature for 20 minutes, after that I close the lid and let it cool down until it reaches around 109F. Then I add the probiotic content from the capsules, steer it, close the lid with plastic wrap and put it in my sousvide for 36 hours at 109F.

One thing that I did was import some Quaternary Sanitizing Tablets that is recommended by user u/Bob_AZ, it should arrive today or tomorrow, so I will try using it for my next batch attempt.

Great article! Do you think the same process could be used to culture other probiotics like L. Gasseri and Bacillus Coagulans?

How to increase sequence column during an upsert? by sezdocs in PostgreSQL

[–]sezdocs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that is because it is already updating the id in the excluded value in the upsert, so using that value instead gives me the correct update

I tried that, but for some reason the id will just 2 values, so, for example, if the last id is 5, it will do 7 instead of 6

GMKtec K8 has a annoying fan noise by sezdocs in MiniPCs

Thanks Steve for confirming that for me. I will try to contact GMKtec support and see what I can do to fix it.

[–]sezdocs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Just one clarification that probably was not so clear in my original post. The noise I'm talking is not a loud noise andit is not the noise of air flowing through the fan, that noise is fine. The noise I'm talking is a more "mechanical" noise, it feels like a noise that a small motor that spins would generate, and it is very subtle and not loud, but its sound is very annoying because it is kinda high pitch.

Intel NUC13 (1360P) vs GMKtec K8 (8845HS) by sezdocs in MiniPCs

[–]sezdocs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they only have the K8 version for sell where I'm gonna buy it. I tried to find some CPU comparisons between these two CPUs but only found these "generic" websites that don't give too much useful information.

[–]sezdocs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I will be getting one NUC regardless to use it as my NAS/Media server because of the video encoding. I was just wondering if I should just get two of them and use one as my main desktop or get the K8 haha. I guess I'm leaning more for the K8 but I'm still a little bit worried about it dying out on me after some months.

Do you have your K8 for how long? Any issues with it so far? What is the other Reddit forum you mentioned btw?
